Delivered to each known Marvel hero in unmarked envelopes is a picture of their family. Some are candid, some are portraits. Some were taken years before, some only minutes. There is no message. Or, at least, it seems as if there isn't, until the hero has fallen asleep, only to wake up to the smell of burning plastic. Four words appear in green flames in the pictures just long enough to read before the flames engulf the entire thing, and nothing is left of it, not even dust. The words are these:

ARE THEY WORTH IT?

From: Oh, she'll know.

The next time Samantha comes home, she will find a raven perched on her fire escape bearing a scroll that looks ancient. The message on the scroll is written in runes, in the language of the old Norse gods. Translated it reads:

The spider, lost in silky webs,
Seeks the hawk, flown his nest – 
Find him in his true name;
Frozen glass marks his rest.

Sent with no return address, two identical envelopes with identical contents arrive on Monday, January 21st – strangely, because no mail is supposed to be delivered today. Inside both evelopes is a broken arrow, snapped in half.
