Yeah, I'm not buying into the whole "inmate" thing, no matter what this stupid computer says. I'm not a criminal and I'm willing to bet there are a ton of people here that this things's wrongly accused, too.

[ yukari's muttering to herself, wandering around one of the hallways and seemingly completely wrapped up in whatever it is she's doing. which ... is getting lost. at least it's not that dark any more; darkness is a yukari's worst enemy, don't you know? she could be down by the cafeteria, or the library, but she'll basically be wandering around all day, so feel free to have your characters bump into her at any time in any place because her insatiable curiosity is going to drag her around everywhere. especially the shopping area. ]

Hey, so—What's the deal with this "Sentience" thing, huh? What kind of mistakes did it make? [ there's a pause as she leaps out of the path of one of the bots, a curious expression on her face. ] Ugh, and what's with all the robots? This place doesn't function like any prison I've ever heard of. This seems more like... I dunno, some kind of weird vacation facility or something. Seriously, what kind of prison has a dance club?

( ooc: oh my god this is so, so so so so so so late. i got hit with a monstrous sinus infection literally the DAY after i ooc intro'd that knocked me flat on my ass, and since then i've just been laying around being pathetic. but now that i feel a lot better, let's do this thing!!! *w*9 )

[Kallen's just sitting in a chair, dressed in a bathrobe. Her hair is still a little damp from her morning shower, but it's clear she's just been lounging around lazily for a while]

It's been two weeks, now. It's strange... it really feels like a lot longer. I'm wondering if anyone else feels the same way.

[She's so used to fast-paced action, strategies, and fighting. Or being held captive. Either way, she's feeling restless. And with a sigh, she finally gets up from her chair, looking a little tsun.]

I guess I should...go ahead and get ready.

[For her laundry date?!]

Not like I need to do much for-- Ack!

[The tie around her waist, however, gets caught on the armrest, unraveling and allowing her robe to fall open. There's a stretch of smooth, pale skin - from the center of her chest diagonaling down to thigh. It's only a glimpse, though, before she quickly closes her robe once more, blushing bright.]

I'll see you later, Gino!

[ANGRILY SHUTS OFF THE VIDEO AS IF IT WERE SOMEHOW HIS FAULT]

Wow, this place is awesome! A rink, an arcade, a movie theater - ! And check this out - I'm even doing laundry! [anyone who has ever done laundry before will pale at the amount of detergent Gino is throwing in] Anya should totally be here to see this.

I wonder if this makes me a real commoner now. [god, that would be so awesome.] I can't wait to check the entire place out later. The arcade first, then the theater! [and then maybe an exit, but he doesn't think he'll be that lucky.]

[pause] You know what else we should have here? A casino! One with all those light up slot machines. Now that would be really cool.

[ Diva turns on the feed, covers bunched around her waist and hair disheveled. No worries. She's dressed. She just liked the warmth of her covers. Pressing her cheek against a sword sheath, she nearly purrs ]

It seems someone lost their sword. It wouldn't happen to be yours would it? You really shouldn't leave things lying around. Someone might just take it.

((ooc: Conrad stole Saya's sword while at the prom in order to make amends with Diva. She's clearly trolling Saya, but feel free to claim the weapon as yours or even recognize it and demand she give it back to Saya. Pretty much anything goes! ))

Upon entering Sector 4, the very large tent that stands framed by the beach is quickly noticeable. Closer, one can see colors dancing upon the white sheets, like opalesque spires under the moving onyx sky. As you enter one of the wings of the tents, grass give way to wooden flooring, and chains of white blossoms and gold ribbons line the sides. The open dance floor in the center bids one to look up to whimsical white-gold lamps, balls of light dancing in seas of violet, blue, green and pink organza. The fabrics fall down pillars adorned with leaves and flowers. Tables set in white and gold with jewel toned flowers sit at the four wings surrounding the dance floor.

... but it is far too early to take a seat. Smile and greet your fellow attendee, take the hand of a friend, and dance to the music.

Welcome to Marina Academy's First Promenade!

There are large tables with finger foods and punch (not spiked -- save it for the after-party!), and very little space near the walls (sorry, wallflowers! You won't get away so easily. )  After a large number of people are gathered together, Jeanne stands up on the small stage set to the side of the dance floor and taps on the microphone to get everyone's attention...

Come over. There's something we need to talk about.

[click. but it sounds all grim and important, doesn't it? you should come right away]

[Casa de vi Britannia is bustling today with plans. ...Prom plans, of course. A household full of teenage girls, and also Suzaku, is of course going to take an event like this very seriously. It's time to pick out what you want to wear and show it off and have big brother Lelouch tailor them.]

[If you live here, or have a reason to visit, or speak to anyone in the household, or if you just pass by and are wondering, "Why is a ballgown hanging out the window of that house?" -- feel free to tag in! Mingle poooost, so tag amongst yourselves.]

[Asch is on the prowl. He's been checking the place out for the better part of two days, sector by sector, pathway by pathway. Making mental notes of anything worth remembering and lots more that do little more than warrant a glare, grumble, or toss of the head. As much as the place has to offer, and as much (or as little) as that thing might try to be accommodating, he's taken a rather cynical view towards the entire ordeal.]

[But that's not quite all. If the narrowed eyebrows and the down-turned corners of his mouth are any indication, something's definitely on this guy's mind. He eventually finds himself in Sector 5, glancing wordlessly across the street at the window displays. Looks like a clothing shop.]

[An observer might notice Asch uncrossing his arms, raising two fingers towards the communicator at his ear, pausing midway, and then dropping his arm again. His frown's even deeper than before and he might be gritting his teeth.]

...Damn that little brat.

[A grimace, a drawn out moment, and he tries again.]

[Voice; Filtered to Natalia.]

...

...

[Clears his throat quietly. Just to make clear this transmission is no accident.]

((OOC: Onlookers are welcome to overhear parts of any resulting conversation(s), otherwise he'll be hanging out around the clothing store and the boutique and eventually going in. He just might benefit from a little prodding.))

The Host Club would like to extend a welcome to all the new inmates arriving today. [Have a polite smile.] We sincerely hope your transition into your new accommodations proceeds smoothly and efficiently.

If you find yourself interested in meeting your fellow inmates, there are several events upcoming that may be of interest to you.

Miss Kohran Li has assembled a Talent Show this evening to be held in Sector 4, featuring dancing, singing, and a variety of other talents. And tomorrow will be the Marina Academy's first promenade, to be held in the park in Sector 4. Formal dress is expected.

[And because no announcement is ever complete if it doesn't include an advertisment for the Host Club:]

For those of you planning to attend prom, the Host Club will be in the Athletic Complex if you should require basic dancing lessons, advice on the latest fashions, and anything else you might need to prepare for the upcoming event.

[And Kyouya + various other people will be at the athletic complex, ready to do what they do best.]

((ooc: Sort of spur-of-the-moment (sorry Host Club!) so current members needn't tag in if they don't want (we can always handwave or whatnot). Otherwise, general mingle post.))

[Guy's seated in a booth in the club, expertly tuning out the piped in music and the faraway chatter on the communicator. Yesterday was an exciting day for a myriad of reasons but he is more than content to soothe his headache with a bottle of Chenin Blanc.

Oh, and there's a single rappig hanging out beside him.

Come say hi?

Huh? This isn't the-- [She is just reading the welcome message right now, and that stops her from finishing of her actual sentence]

So this place really is a prison?

This is really weird compared to where I last was, but you know, strangely enough this place does seem familiar. That isn't weird, is it?

[All you can see is a bared midriff when the video comes on, before it pans up to the face of a young woman looking down at the communicator in her hands, and inadvertently giving everyone a close view of her rather generous rack in the process]

Even if I didn't want to believe what this little magiteck device told me, this place clearly isn't Ill Fan. In fact, it's far beyond anything La Schugall's capable of. Well, for now at least; humans progress pretty quickly.

There are some here too, right? Could I ask for information about leaving this facility? I seem to have found one exit, but--

[She shifts the screen down so that it shows the air lock just under the water's surface, built into the dome wall. You know, the one across from the beach area. Turning it up towards her again after a minute, she tilts her head back and stares up the full height of the barrier with a frown]

But the problem is outside this... It'd be tricky to handle an entire ocean even if I could ask Undine to help me out.

Ah. Good day. If I am not mistaken, then I— [ . . . ] I have been informed of the terms of my imprisonment. I understand them in full.

. . . By that condition, I would like to inquire why our warden has not also been similarly imprisoned. [ c h e e r f u l l y ] It seems a strange flaw to overlook in a broad judgment. Of course, I would address this privately to the intelligence behind the artificial, but I have yet to hear mention of any! Nor of the law or trials which led to this verdict! Thus, if some better explanation is available, I would appreciate it.

[ deep breaths. steadiest. breaths. ]

Thank you for your time.

[ she's been spending much time observing the communicator since she's arrived, refraining from appearing until now to gather as much information as she needs (though really, the brochure that came along with the basket is already more than helpful). but at least now, she knows who to expect to react when she decides to show up. ]

My, my.

[ lottie smiles malevolently widely, crossing one leg over the chained one and leaning forward to the camera. behind her is a familiar view of the park. ]

So I suppose even pretty girls get chained up even before they get to do anything. How terribly unforgiving.

But I do wonder now what I'm being chained for. [ she tilts her head slightly to one side, her smile now lopsided. ] Big Sis hasn't committed anything gruesome since 100 years ago after all. [ a pause. and then -- ]

I know! Why don't we play a game of 20 questions? Perhaps Big Sis will find out the reason that way. [ she giggles. ] And perhaps more.

[so, Flynn is in the dining hall just outside the shelter kitchen, with a plate of eggs and a cup of coffee in front of him. he is eating, but also staring with some confusion, at a sheathed sword propped up in the chair across from him. the sheathed sword has a cup of coffee (with cream) as well]

[.........it appears to be a perfectly normal inanimate sword that has been served a cup of coffee]

[for the very first time in her life, Nena is in a library, and has spent more than 5 minutes there before declaring it a boring pile of horse shit. as it turns out, romance novels are fucking hilarious. who knew?]

I swear to god, you people are all completely hopeless. [waves a book around and winks at the camera. see? she has evidence.] It's like you don't know anything romance and guys and all that crap. How do any of you ever get laid? [not that it applies so much here, but...]

'Oh, what if he doesn't feel the same way?', 'I'm just not good enough for her', 'Oh, whatever shall I do?!'. [she mostly stuck to the trashy books.] Pathetic, seriously.

So, I get that this'll be hard for you all to understand, but I can totally help! I'll even be nice and make it super easy for you; just give me you're problem, and I'll tell you what to do! Ask away! [V-sign!]

Great. From one prison to another. Tch- doesn't even look like a prison. Just where the hell am I, anyway? This message doesn't explain anything!

[She sounds very much unbothered by her list of crimes.

She shifts, and along with her the rustle of fabric. Lots and lots of fabric. She fiddles with the communicator a bit - it's not difficult to figure out, so she turns on the audio function, not quite aware that it was already recording.]

Attention! I request some information. If I'm going to remain here for- life, I'd at least like to know a few things first.

[She's playing nice for now, because she's confident that even here Zero- Lelouch will find and save her. He said so.]

Is this some kind of bullshit joke? A prison? I may have done a lot of things in the past that would have gotten me in here, but I was pardoned for all of that!

[punches a nearby wall and lets out a string of curses; partially because that actually hurt but mostly because she knows that she probably does still belong in here.] The least you could do is get this thing off my leg. It’s not like I’m going to go around killing people.

[some silence, a sigh.]

Is a normal life really too much to ask?

[Leaning against a building, Kallen has just finished getting through the welcome message on her communicator. The last thing she remembered was leaving for school, and now here she is, trapped in some sort of crazy prison thing? What a way to go.]

Bullshit! You have got to be kidding me. There is no way this is real, no way in hell!

[The sound her fist hitting the wall is picked up as she lets out a string of profanity.]

What bastard is responsible for this?!

[OOC: She's in sector five, somewhere near the convenience store. Anyone walking around, feel free to run into the angered ginger. :D]

Lelouch, I have a very urgent request for you. I'm afraid that it's crucial that you make a pizza for dinner tonight. It's entirely possible that lives depend on it, and you're the only one who could do it right. It all hinges upon you.

...she says she's willing to share.
