Oh, how lovely that we get to all be together! I do love a good sleep in, and it's rather like camping which of course I like most of all. I'm quite quite sure that even if it feels a bit off, we'll all have a lovely night together!

Luckily I had my knitting in my bag. If anyone would like a pattern or to knit with me that might be great fun! I'm working on a blanket now. Strange I've never done one. I'm thinking there could be many excellent charms to put on a good blanket.

Hallo, new friend! I had a question I was hoping to pick your mind about.

I just thought you would be a good one to go to, as sort of an objective person, say.

It's very nice being back at the campstead. Henrietta missed the ladies, and it is good being able to see my parents. Every night since I've been home we've had a lovely bonfire and cuddled up with the guests to roast bangers and marshmallows and whatever we'd like and just sing songs and stay cheery.

My parents have a tradition that we write wishes and hopes for the new year, write them on little slips of paper and toss them into the fire. The paper is charmed, and you don't know what color the smoke will be when you write down, but when they burn, it will burn either pink, green, blue or yellow. If it's pink, your wish will not happen this year at all. If it is green, your wish or hope will come true quite soon! If it's blue, it'll come true, but might not be until mid-year. And if it's yellow, it might be this year, but not until late.

I'm here with my slips. Anyone want to give me a wish and I'll tell you which it will be?? If you don't want others to know, you can ward just to me and I'll tell you the result. It's quite fun!

I'm glad no one needs to be worried about being stuck anymore. The first day seemed harmless when everyone was stuck indoors, but being stuck in the snow is a bit more serious. I was happy to help anyone I saw though.

I'm very concerned about my friends being potentially stuck in a dangerous situation. There are many of these little hiccups and pranks and potions, so it would be nice if we could be sure that we're safe. I have an excess of mittens I've sewed over the last month or so, it seems now they can be put to use.

These have been charmed to both keep your hands extra warm with a warming spell, and when tapped with your wand, will alert everyone under this ward of your location. It has a Homonculus charm. I hope that will keep us safe should something ever happen.

I'd hate to think of anything happening to any of you since I love you all dearly.

Mistletoe is actually a parasitic plant, attaching itself to trees via birds and taking sap to help it grow. And while the tradition of kissing under it at Christmas time dates back to the Victorian time, there were also other myths. I like the explanation from this Norse myth:

Shakespeare calls it 'the baleful Mistletoe,' an allusion to the Scandinavian legend that Balder, the god of Peace, was slain with an arrow made of Mistletoe. He was restored to life at the request of the other gods and goddesses, and Mistletoe was afterwards given into the keeping of the goddess of Love, and it was ordained that everyone who passed under it should receive a kiss, to show that the branch had become an emblem of love, and not of hate.

Lovely, isn't it? Symbol of peace and love instead of hate. How very nice.

Does anyone know the spell to reverse vanishing spells? Some Freshman girl thought it would be hilarious to vanish my shirt and sweater, and it's my favorite sweater. I'm afraid to take it off, because what if I forget where I put it and I lose it? I made it myself, so it's not like I could just buy another.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm kind of tired of walking around looking like I have no shirt on...

Seems like several people have them, does anyone know how that happened? Not that I mind. If I have blue spots, I have them. They match my eyes at least!
