It might have been one of the silliest bonding activities yet, but the Sophomore Hide and Seek was stupid fun. Where did everyone end up hiding? I went for one of the showers in the weight room and I still managed to hold out for nearly the whole game!

Knowing that Mrs O'Hare is married to THE Dr O'Hare is one of the biggest teacher related surprises since... well, finding out that Mr Hightower and Mr Oakes are married, actually.

If anyone who plays Quidditch got their ear talked off about the upcoming Gooseberry v Ilvermorny game by a tall African American guy, you met my dad. Sorry.

If anyone overheard a woman with a Colorado accent yelling about how much she would have killed to go to a school like this... you just about escaped my mom. Sorry about any eardrum damage, though.

Still, it's been great for them to see what my school looks like. I feel like they understand this experience a lot better now.

So, in advance of PTC and anyone who happens to meet my parents, I've got to warn you that my family talk. A lot. Whether they know you or don't. They also tend to confuse a lot of people and my sister is so much older than me that she's basically mom #2, so, sorry about that folks.

So, you know what was super weird? I was in the lodge, looking out of the window, like you do, and I see somebody sitting on the docks. That's not the weird bit. Because you see, he's there curled up and absolutely sobbing his damn eyes out, practically hardly moving at all.

Because I'm not an ass, I go grab my stuff and RUN down there. And I literally mean running because holy cow, seriously, this kid looked so distraught I thought he was on the verge of hurting himself. And when I get down to the docks, not only has he COMPLETELY VANISHED but I ran into a group of bb Ribbonfins (I recognised the person, by the way, did I not mention that? Ribbonfin!) and they said they hadn't seen him all day.

I AM SO CONFUSED.

Great party! Hope no one got badly burned in that anonymous post, though. I left it kind of quick.

Well, Gooseberry never fails to disappoint with a chaotic return to school after a vacation, huh? I mean, I missed the party, came back from Colorado with a stupid head cold, but it seems a fair few others ended up that way as it is! Oops!

And of course, that was just one thing, who knows whether the rest of the year will carry on at this pace, or will things actually tail off at some point? My bet is about five minutes before the buses leave for home in summer.
