You guys should probably avoid the clearing south of the garden this morning. Something's got the bees all worked up and I got stung a few times. I don't think they should be a problem for anyone else, since I was taking the hive apart and I don't expect anyone else will be doing that, but just to be safe. I haven't seen them act like that before. I'll talk to Mrs. O'Hare about it.

You're a jerk for not sitting by me last night, I needed snuggles.

The lowkey hangout thing is kind of nice. I haven't woken up hearing about any major fallout which is new? I'm starting to realize I kind of like chilled out parties more, but it was a school night, after all. And with the Quidditch game this weekend, it's probably best if some of us take it easy this weak to gear up.

So is the school haunted or what? There was a boat out in the middle of the lake.

I hope last night's ghost stories didn't spook anyone too badly. 'Tis the season for gettin spooked, but don't let Halloween cheer get in the way of your studies. Not to stack on top of all of the weird shit happening but Mischief has been acting up all day. It's so bad that I had to take him to the owlery just to get him to calm down so I'm sorry if any of your owls somehow learn to talk and come back saying 'Sup Bitch'. He's got a mouth on him and is intent on being the trouble child. I bribed him with extra spiders to calm the fuck down but I don't know if it'll be enough.

Apparently no drugs or shit allowed in Ribbonfin. Just a heads up if we go there again.

That was a very uneventful nice night, and everyone behaved so well. You must have all gotten out of your systems earlier through a different event that I could not possibly have known about. But there's plenty of time between now and the dance to cause trouble, so I'll have my eyes open.

When does the panic over dates and costumes usually set in?

It seems as though hosting parties is the thing to do now. When it's our turn, we must do better than climbing all over the infrastructure or telling ghost stories.

I propose that after the first big snowstorm, we should have a snowball fight in our fields. The other houses won't stand a chance.

Thoughts on last night? I didn't see anyone causing trouble. One Ribbonfin was spiking the hot chocolate, and several individuals were sneaking off to the woods to smoke pot, but I find those to be acceptable transgressions.

Do you think exceptions are still a good idea when the gathering is sponsored by staff? We were walking a fine line, potentially taking advantage of Hightower's blessing.

POINTS RAISED:

Ravi has stated for the record that no alcohol or drugs are to be present at Ribbonfin campsite parties. Anyone caught breaking this rule will be punished accordingly. And that is not me cheekily saying to just be more cautious, it's actually not allowed. Prefects are enforcing it.

Maggie has agreed, and said the same for Ebonhide. She also suggests no contraband of any kind be allowed at house parties.

No pot at Coppertale parties.

Cricket suggested more regular small parties, which makes the above point(s) even more important.

Do we need to establish rules for individual campsites? Senior prefects and Head Girl and Boy, we need to discuss amongst our immediate peers.

I've been in Choir over a year and I still haven't decided where the best place to practice is, outside of rehearsal. That's kind of tough to figure out how to do without disturbing others... might have to change my routine a little instead.

Also, the party at Ribbonfin was super cute. You don't often get to parties like that in New York.
