GREETS. It's Jenny (Xavier) here with my number two (lol) and Calvin's onii-chan, DAMON EVERCREECH. Damon will be arriving at Gooseberry on Sunday and getting sorted that night, then starting class on Monday. I am very excited that his arrival will apparently be leading to the first annual Gooseberry Hunger Games? And also cannibalism?????

Dimi's concept is "Typical Gryffindor with something to prove walks line between hero and villain." His classes are Charms, Herbology, History of Magic, Outdoor Education, Potions, Aesthetic Magic, Magizoology, Wizard Lit. He's going to be trying out all the clubs for a while, but will probably wind up sticking with Outdoor Exploration, Archery, Duelling & Fencing and Drama.

Dimi is charming, confident, artistic, outgoing and a complete shitter. He is a bully-of-bullies. A kid with a superhero complex teetering on the edge of super villain. He will be white knighting all over campus when he isn't out taking photos. For the previous six years at Hogwarts, Dimi was extremely popular within his house, well liked and well known for sticking up for kids who were getting picked on. If you were a bully or a victim at Hogwarts in the last 6 years, you probably had a run in with Dimi Evercreech.

So, why did Dimi leave Hogwarts so near the end of his secondary school career? GOOD QUESTION! It's because this child is a mess. He'd actually applied to the Gooseberry transfer program almost every year since he was first eligible. He was passed over each time because he was a troublemaker with average grades who didn't bring much to the table outside of an excess of personality. At the end of Dimi's sixth year, his core friend group imploded on itself very publicly and dramatically. On the one hand, this meant when he came back for his seventh year he mostly hid in the library and studied, so his grades got better. On the other, he spiraled into a depression and didn't really have a social outlet. So the Head of Gryffindor recommended him when a spot opened at Gooseberry and he accepted because he needed to GTFO.

Dimi is here to make friends, have fun and burn the Coppertale senior boys cabin to ash and cinders hopefully get steered away from becoming Darth Vader.

HEY-O! Cheryl here, and I bring you a new baby. Sophomores were having so much fun, so I nabbed one.

This is FERN MUFFERAW. Yes, Plaid Dad’s daughter. Ugh, don’t remind her.

Her concept is, “Plaid dad is RUINING HER LIFE; brattiness ensues.”

Fern is blunt, sarcastic, terse, honest, and sometimes comes off as mean. She’s not trying to hurt your delicate feelings, she just doesn’t have time to beat around the bush. Fern isn’t the person to ask if that skirt makes your butt look fat - unless you’re prepared to hear, “No, but it’s still ugly.”

She is a straight A student this year, excelling most at hands on classes, especially Magizoology. On the other hand, she likes to break rules just to see what she can get away with, toeing the line of what’s too much. She is a hard worker, patient, focused, and a long term planner, which means she’s a great group project partner and vengeful when she has a grudge.

Fern has three older siblings, two of which are GB alums. She doesn’t like to be compared to them, tyvm. She also doesn’t like when older students try to parent her or coddle her. Her parent is already practically right over her shoulder, and if she wanted to be coddled she would go home to her grand plaids, okay.

She is really bitter she didn’t get to bring her dog to school, so she has a pet rat named Labrador and she calls him Lab Rat.

this is cassius holcomb, coppertale sophomore. also known as cash, because cassius is a silly name. his concept is "overcompensating suburban kid shoots for the moon, lands amongst the dumpsters" and, well, that's it in a nutshell. he's here to join the OVERACHIEVERS CLUB, although, amusingly enough, not the goody-two-shoes club. cash won't push you under a bus, but he won't stop you from making a bad choice, either. he's perfectly willing to watch you eat shit so long as his face stays clean, especially if it helps him to get ahead. he's not a bad kid, though! he wants to be a nice boy, he's just acutely aware that it's a dog-eat-dog world.

cash comes from an almost parodically-suburban* nuclear family that was obsessed with keeping up with the joneses. cash inherited those sensibilities, but ruined it for his family when he came out as transgender at 13. his folks passive-aggressively ignore him entirely, and he's been essentially on his own ever since then. as a result, he's very into the concept of self-sufficiency; he never wants to have to scramble to figure things out again and he knows he can't rely on anyone else to do things for him.

he's always trying to make the grade, win the award, be the best... but sometimes his tendency to trip and fall into hijinx gets the way of his dreams. he might be trying to peddle you a pyramid scheme. c'mon, how can you say no to this face?

Hey folks, I'm new. My name's Cameron, but since I take it you already have one of those in-game (it was my name first, kid, back off!), feel free to call me any nickname or variation thereof. I apologise in advance for any confusion, lmao. Anyway, I'm 24 and a graduate/professional student. I'm also falling off the wagon after 4-or-so years clean from RP, thanks to a little prodding by JJ. God help me.

I picked up 1 character. This little turdblossom is Ulysses Quayle, Ebonhide junior and baby bro to Cricket. Basically, his shtick is that he was everyone's precious baby angel until he went to boarding school and hit puberty and stuff, and then people stopped finding him cute and his whole world fell apart. Now he's like "WHO AM I" and because he's a teenager, this results in 50% melancholic navel-gazing and 50% Acting Out™. Expect trouble in everything but class, because he's terribly afraid that if he isn't effortlessly succeeding at school, it means he's lost his last identity token ("smart").

So, he's kind of a neurotic brat. Thankfully, he's also pretty charming, loyal to friends and fam, good with creatures (ask him about his blue tongued skink) 'n' kids, and somewhere deep down, a generally good guy. Ulysses is a chaser on the Quidditch team and very into it.

So yeah, that's Ulysses in a nutshell, I guess. Any plots or suggestions would be more than welcomed. I'm excited to play with you guys.

Concept: Excitable sports fanatic loves bad ideas, refuses to learn from past mistakes.

Born and raised in Newark, NJ. SUP NEW YORK AREA-ITES, I'M JOINING THE PARTY. Went to a no-maj school and weekend magic school growing up because his mom is a third grade teacher at a no-maj school, she knows how important learning non-magical social studies is. And also because I needed him to be in a bunch of muggle sports growing up.

His dad is part of the personal security detail for the MACUSA VP, which may or may not have been a contributing factor in me binge-watching Veep yesterday. We may never know.

His dad was also a former almost-pro-football player who got injured out of being a millionaire for sure and has a chip on his shoulder about his kids getting too involved and focused on sports in school. Which is too bad because JEFFY. LOVES. SPORTS. Jeffy is also just a natural athlete. Which is probably why he loves sports. Who doesn't love things that are easy for them?

SO OPTIMISTIC. Thinks everything could be a fun time. Thinks everything could be an ADVENTURE. Is willing to try the same dumb idea 12 times because we don't know for sure that we failed the first 11 times because the idea was inherently flawed.
