HEY-O! Cheryl here, and I bring you a new baby. Sophomores were having so much fun, so I nabbed one.

This is FERN MUFFERAW. Yes, Plaid Dad’s daughter. Ugh, don’t remind her.

Her concept is, “Plaid dad is RUINING HER LIFE; brattiness ensues.”

Fern is blunt, sarcastic, terse, honest, and sometimes comes off as mean. She’s not trying to hurt your delicate feelings, she just doesn’t have time to beat around the bush. Fern isn’t the person to ask if that skirt makes your butt look fat - unless you’re prepared to hear, “No, but it’s still ugly.”

She is a straight A student this year, excelling most at hands on classes, especially Magizoology. On the other hand, she likes to break rules just to see what she can get away with, toeing the line of what’s too much. She is a hard worker, patient, focused, and a long term planner, which means she’s a great group project partner and vengeful when she has a grudge.

Fern has three older siblings, two of which are GB alums. She doesn’t like to be compared to them, tyvm. She also doesn’t like when older students try to parent her or coddle her. Her parent is already practically right over her shoulder, and if she wanted to be coddled she would go home to her grand plaids, okay.

She is really bitter she didn’t get to bring her dog to school, so she has a pet rat named Labrador and she calls him Lab Rat.

YEssssssss

HAZEL IS FERN'S ROOMIE and I'm so excited. She also has a rat, named Joe Montana. Hazel loves your dad Fern, sorry. She's really intent on becoming a healer when she graduates, and also she seems to get busted up with some frequency because she's a little hooligan, so.. yeah. She'll generally appreciate Fern's bluntness. She also just loves her cabin and will pretty much consider Fern one of her BFFs unless Fern gives her a really good reason to not. I am braindead right now APOLOGIES.

I also now have Garrett ([info]garogletree) who is also a sophomore Coppertale (because I have no self control)! He's a prefect so he'll try to keep her in line somewhat but he definitely appreciates the desire to break rules because he himself often wants to! But he's a little more well behaved now that he's a prefect. They have a bunch of classes together too (Potions, Transfig, Charms, OE, etc).

My other two are 0% relevant lol

Aside from Hazel's unfortunate fondness for her biological plaid dad, I think they will get on QUITE WELL.

Garrett sort of misses the dark side :( though honestly he was pretty dark side light. He's not a total hardass it'll be fineeeee

The rendition is painfully accurate. Chris has a lot of interactions to draw from.

oh but also solomon's in her year, and her classes and some after school activities and he's also eager and painfully nice and already treats her like they're best friends

and ollie's a junior prefect for coppertale.

HI CHERYL! ♥ I'm so glad to see another Coppertale soph roomie, and with Maisie's face!!! ♥x2

Right off the bat, Ana here likes her a lot. And if she's friends with Hazel, who is Ana's BFF, then she will get along with Ana. And the girls should become a trio of AWESOMENESS together. Ahem.

I also think Milo will get along pretty well with her. His only requirements are being chill, not making fun of him (unless he deserves it, lbr), and not being a stick in the mud. So. Friends? Oor friendly at least?

i forgot about cash! this is cassius he's new and also a soph coppertale!!! he's a little bitch kind of judgemental as also a member of the straight A club. theyll either get on super well, or they'll clash, lol.

Guhhhh I WISH I HAD SOMETHING MORE CONSTRUCTIVE TO SAY. But Xavier is in Boating with Fern and he likes everyone, so I'm sure he will be friendly to her.

I am also going to be playing Damon Evercreech here soon. He's a senior in CT and in archery with Fern and yeah.

YES, SOPHOMORES!

Two out of three of mine are Sophomores, so they are relevant. Frank is a mush and she likes everybody and is nice to everybody. But she gets you on the overprotective parent front. Though hers is sufficiently far away for once in her life. But there's still that!

Bash is a disaster. And a prefect. Please don't REALLY BLATANTLY break rules in front of him. He really hates taking points. It stresses him. (Though, let's be real, he's way more likely to launch into a diatribe on why your bad choices are going to result in a variety of minor tragedies than he is to take points.) But otherwise, he probably thinks she's kind of hysterical.

And Roxie's in Fern's house! And not really much of a coddler, generally speaking.

She could definitely commiserate over over protective parents with Frankie.

Let's hope she ends up amusing Bash more than stressing him, though I promise nothing. XD

I think she would like Roxie a lot, and definitely thinks her home life sounds WAY MORE FUN.

~as we previously discussed~ quinn knows her from that gool ol' whackadoo public school paradise that was coote's school for magical cultivation. she likes fern and won't try to parent her, but she also won't hesitate to tell her to "cool the fuck down" if terse makes for tense.

she's in EC and OE with kurt and i think we can both agree that he finds her borderline scary.

casey, meanwhile, thinks she's hi-laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarious.

Penelope & Fern are in the same house but not same year. Penelope and her have similar personalities which may mean they butt heads a little but, but Penny sees arguing with sophomores to be *so* beneath her, so she may just pay Fern little to no attention.

Avery might not appreciate Fern's attitude, but they share OE club and she's usually nice to everyone so there's that.

Isabelle & her are both Sophomores. She's likely to be nervous around Fern. She likes the whole honesty thing you know, but she's mildly terrified it would be turned on her and girl has enough anxiety - though she's against this interaction I on the other hand am ALL about it. They can have a really interesting kind of antagonistic relationship, maybe?

Fern respects Penny's attitude, from grump to grump, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'd get along. XD

I don't think Fern would go out of her way to be mean to Issy, but she wouldn't be bothered if Issy got her feelings hurt by something Fern said that she didn't intend to be offensive. We can see how they bounce off each other?
