[This time her singing across the airwaves was, obviously, purposely done. The song didn't match what was being played on the radio station (different frequency) and it had music in the background. There was real passion in her voice.]

[There's the sound of him hitting the control panel in an elevator until he happens to press the right alien symbol that opens the door.]

[A pause, just long enough for him to walk to and see out the nearest window to space]

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Joe O'Hara and you are listening to Compass Radio, the first of hopefully many more live broadcasts which will follow in the near future.

As I am sure most of you already know, the station has been struck by tragedy. And for those of you who don't know, well I hate to be the bearer of bad news. I am truly sorry if you have to hear this from me first and foremost. I've worked as a broadcast journalist for a large portion of my life and still, giving bad news doesn't get much easier.

Recently the residents of this station were faced with an unspeakable, monstrous foe. A terrifying killer clown who spent seemingly hundreds if not thousands of years tormenting the small town of Derry, Maine. In all my years of broadcast journalism, I had never seen nor heard of something as horrific. Not during the war. Not even in London. I was there when the bombs started to fall in the grand city of London. I saw the rubble and debris, I saw the broken bodies in the streets, and even that paled in comparison to what I learned about this small town. The people on this station showed both bravery and heroism, choosing to band together to fight, even with the odds stacked against them. And in the end, they prevailed. And they won. But there were losses. Not just on the station. Over countless years, the people of Derry disappeared without question. And worst of all, those victims were primarily children.

I would like to begin by dedicating this show first and foremost to those who lost their lives recently. Those on the station, and all of those innocent lives lost over the years. To the friends and families of those who lost someone dear, you have my condolences.

There was a saying in London. They had it printed on posters, placed all over the city when the threat of an air raid loomed over everyone's heads. The posters all read "Keep calm and carry on". I'm not asking anyone to just up and move on. Those who were lost will be remembered, and those who survived will carry their memories with them. The point of the posters wasn't to get people to just get on with things. It was to show bravery in the face of evil, and this station and the people on board are some of the most brave and fearless bunch I've ever met.

I'm going to play a few songs and cut this first broadcast short. I'll be back again sometime soon. Just keep an ear out. I'll be here.

[An American voice can be heard over the radio. He has a voice suited for radio broadcast and sounds like he's done it before.]

Hello? Hello? Can anybody hear me? This is Joe O'Hara. I am sorry to have to announce that London is under attack, I repeat, London is under attack. The Jerrys are bombing London. Please respond. I need to get back to my station, I have an urgent report to make. This is of the utmost importance.

Look, I don't know how I got here. I don't even know where here is. I can only hope that I haven't been captured. And hope that this message reaches the right people.

[People with any form of telepathy can probably hear her. If she reaches out to them, they might even share a connection in the void and might be able to see the black empty space, water on the ground. An endless void of water and darkness, and El standing at its centre lost and confused. She is sobbing and she is afraid.]

Mike? Mike?! Where are you?

Please, somebody find me! I think they've taken me away again... I don't want to go back, please, don't make me go back there...

Okay guys, this isn't funny. In case any of you have forgotten, we've got a bit of a situation here!

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to be somewhere a bit more stable. Drifting around in space isn't exactly my idea of fun. I could use a nice hot bath, maybe something to eat, preferably something salty. I'm in the mood for chicken. Is that an option or did they get snapped out of existence too? Oh and Scotch. A few bottles. And then maybe someone can tell me what the hell is going on?!

[Dan's voice is soft and monotone, like when he talks in his sleep. He's obviously outside, though. Birdsong can be heard, people talking and calling to each other, and a few cars can be heard in the background, although they're very faint]

This place is rotting from the inside out. Looks normal, looks nice, but it's just a shell, a false face, and it's built on death and lies. The core is wrong. All wrong.

[His phone starts to broadcast on its own. Pacing can be heard. Then the sound of a lighter. He begins to recite a spell, his tones almost musical.]

"Ave ad Septentrionalis et Meridionalis in Oriente et Occidente. Et ignis et aquae, et aeris et terrae, per spiritum meum et vocavi te hic. Ego novi receperint magicae huius est punctus in domum suam quasi novi testimonii"

[There is a pause and silence for a moment.]

"His sacris verba adversus locum hunc et observarent aeque malum. B'hoah Shlomoh, kvosh et hahosheh"

[With that the recording ends. For those who speak Latin, what he said translates to, "Hail to the North, the South, the East and the West. With Fire, with water, with air, with earth, with spirit, I summon you here. I welcome the new magic of this place into my home as a new point of meeting." The second part is in 2 languages. The Latin part translates to, "With these sacred words, I ward this place against evil." and the last part I believe is in Hebrew? It translates to, "Through Solomon’s power, capture the darkness."]

[Dan has fallen asleep on the couch, and his phone is broadcasting whenever he talks in his sleep. His voice is quiet and almost toneless.]

-air... winter fire... burns there too.
