[ The weather offered a semblance of peace after the events of the last few days, and the pitter-patter of the rain against the window is very relaxing.
What better than to spend it at the library in the company of tomes? Sasha makes herself comfortable in a corner, seemingly building a small fortress around her as she samples several books, all of varying topics.
You will get a smile if she sees you approach, or even help you reach or look for a book. She knows her way around the library enough~ ]
(( OOC: Off hiatus, and here be Sasha chillin' at the library. Feel free to imagine her random choice of books and question/comment on/mock her about them, read with her, or even ask her to read to you~ ))

[ it's your friendly neighborhood Bookman! and he has something to tell you all, now that he's more or less awake. ]
So, I guess I should assume everybody who was in the English class last time around has completely slacked off. Except munchkin. [ wry ] Man, you all are lucky Gramps isn't around.
Here's the plan, folks. Days ending in two and seven, from five p.m. to six, I'll be teaching a basic English class, starting on day 162. Yuuki, you've got no excuse now. [ he is so winking ] And for people who were bored in the basic class, I'm adding an advanced class on days ending in five and nine, from three t'four p.m. That's going to start on day 165.
If it's all right with Euphie, of course. [ looks ready to turn this off, then remembers: ]
Oh, an' bring pencils and paper. Curse words get taught in the advanced class. [ GRIN /click! ]

[ There's a boy in Victorian-style clothing seated outside of the library. He's currently scowling down at the convenient Marina brochure received by new inmates, his brow furrowed as he reads through it a second time. Given that it isn't any more palatable this time than the first, he sets it aside momentarily, instead choosing to remove his communicator--which is fitted to wear over his left eye, thankfully, as it would be rather useless over his right--and fiddle with it, turning it to and fro in his hands and inspecting it from every angle. He knows what it's for. The brochure had done a good enough job describing that, at least. But how it actually works is another matter entirely.
Ciel has hardly moved since arriving in the prison; the restraint around his leg is rather uncomfortable and terribly cumbersome to walk with. He looks fairly miffed, but you should definitely come bother him anyway. He could probably use some help with that communicator, if nothing else.
Oh, and he's called a certain butler's name twice already, so he'd best be on his way. ]

[The communicator turns on and there’s a nice view of a small living room before it gets set on a table and both Rika and Tsuna sit in front of it.]
H-Hello, everyone! It's Tsuna and Rika. [He smiles widely, if a bit shyly. He doesn't usually address all the occupants of Marina] We decided to move in together and get an apartment, heh.
[Rika nods, a big smile on her face.] We are still getting settled in, but we would like to have a small party to celebrate moving in. We plan on having it the day after tomorrow in the afternoon.
Everyone's allowed to come, s-so stop by if you like! [He glances at Rika a moment to make sure that's all, and then reaches to turn the communicator off, waving until the feed cuts off]
(ooc: Tsuna is orange and Rika is purple! Anyone is welcome to come over, whether or not they've only spoken to either of them once or many times!)

[deep breaths Sakura. take deeeeep breaths. You can do this.]
Hello! How is everyone today? Um, I guess I just wanted to say - yesterday was really weird wasn't it? [and just the memory makes her cheeks redder. brb, practically sinking] I don't think I've seen those robots before and I'm sorry for everyone that I got stuck with. I wish it didn't happen - not that it was bad! [flailing] It's okay if it's just mistletoe right? It's not like - it's not like a real kiss... B-but still I'm really, really sorry!
[hastily bowing to the screen and CUTTING THE CONNECTION]
[...and suddenly it flickers back on] Um, and if my brother ever shows up here again... please don't tell him about this. He'll get really mad. O-okay, I think that's it. Goodbye! And I'm sorry again! It wasn't fair and - [and the communicator abruptly clicks off BYE EVERYONE]

[In the morning, residents of Marina will find Ukitake deep in meditation beside the koi pond. He has a slender katana resting across his lap, and his hands are draped lightly over his knees. Sitting perfectly still, he seems almost a statue, save for the faint stirring of his long white hair in concert with the movements of the air.
Later, he can be seen on the network, wearing a contented smile, the same katana sheathed at his side.]
It is always good to see an old friend after a separation. [He leaves unspoken that, for the first time since he arrived in Marina, a part of his soul feels whole again, the shard that was Sogyo no Kotowari no longer missing since the sword was returned to him.]
If there were one thing or person you could ask to be brought to this place, what would you choose?
22 February 2012 at 11:29 am
[Sougo is sitting lazily in his room, poking at a ... voodoo doll? Yes. Perhaps you can see how it miiiight look like Michael, and if not, he's going to mention it anyway.]
Asshole, tell me if you feel something.
[Behind him are some photos that have been taped to his wall. Where did he get them from? He'll never tell. But they sure made for a fun darts session. Unsurprisingly, one is of Michael. Another? Maybe of Suzaku, and another of Helix. They're all of guys he's met here. None of the ladies or kids, oh no — he likes the ladies and kids he's met here. He focuses on those photos again, throwing a dart at each one.]
Eat shit and die. Eat shit and die. Burn to a crisp and die. Eat dicks and die.
((ooc: if you want to assume your character has a photo up there, because they're one of the dudes he's met, go right on ahead. >:3))

13 February 2012 at 04:14 pm
[Lovely day for being in any open, common area of the dome, isn't it? Of course there is a chance of kissing bot, but it's always something in the underwater prison.](OOC: Check out the OOC post for details. Pucker up! Edit: Links for those with loading problems!)

[It’s all but been confirmed for her. Her friend always responds, even if it’s a bit delayed, however, it’s been over a day now, she still hadn’t heard back. Perhaps someone has seen her! Though, if she is no longer here, then… that’s good, right? She went home…
But… she’s a bit selfish in that she wants her friend, she wants Rita. Maybe Rita is so tied up with research that she just hasn’t checked her device. And since she hasn’t been here long, she doesn’t know of all the places where she goes to hide to do her research…]
Good evening. Has anyone seen a young woman by the name of Rita Mordio? I’ve been looking for her all day, but haven’t seen her. She’s short, often wears a red wrap as a shirt, has mismatched stockings and wears goggles on her head.
[There’s a reason this is voice, because she is about on the verge of tears. However, her voice is still somewhat strong.]
If not, then that’s okay. I apologize for taking up your time.

[Shit. People were right. Sougo has been free for two days and he already didn't like this whole doing nothing he told himself he would enjoy. Doing things were good for distractions. Being in the police force back in Edo was a good distraction. Fighting people, stopping people, using weapons, all that action were good distractions.
Even though he hated Hijikata, tormenting him was a good distraction. At least Hijikata was someone who was familiar with him, and more than that, Kondo was the one person left he had known since he was a child, and knew him best. Being here meant he was alone. He always felt a distance and that he was different from everyone at home, and being here meant it was even more true. Losing his sister forever was horrible enough, and then he had to be put here afterwards. He didn't feel strong enough for this. She never even got to see the world. He failed her. He is the worst brother. Her death was his fault because of his selfishness. His heart hurts, but he keeps his guard up, just like he always does.
Sougo is at the park, standing by the playground.]
Eeh, I want to play on the playground too. Why won't the kids play with me? Is it because I'm too big?
[Puts a hand on his head, acting like he's distraught. in a deadpan manner.]
Go die in a fire. You guys are no fun.
I think I'm gonna move to Sector 5. Hope my neighbors ain't afraid of a little destruction. I don't know what's gonna happen after I drink too much. Oh, and line up if you're not afraid of some S&M action. Don't be shy. I'll take good care of you, but only if you call me Master.

[Sector 3 is a popular destination for entertainment! People may be interested in seeing a movie at the theater, getting a drink or singing karaoke at the club, playing games at the arcade, or dropping by the Brave Vesperia headquarters -- on business or otherwise. In addition, Sector 3 has a lot of apartments and small houses; maybe people are just coming and going on their daily routine, or you might be seeing a friend who lives here.]
[Everyone who might have passed through Sector 3 today -- morning, noon, or night -- is invited to thread out a chance encounter here, or a date, or a gathering of friends. Just tell everyone where your character is and what they're doing, and go!]
[ (But if your occasion takes place after dark, remember there was a bomb threat if that's relevant to your character.) ]

[Link is picking up a piece of wadded paper and shaking it at you. Yes, YOU! Littering is despicable!]
I strongly suggest with the cleaning only a few days complete everyone should do their part to keep it in excellent condition. If we are to be in prison we might as well be in a pristine prison.
[Ew, he's holding someone else's trash. Is that gum?]

[Cloaked within the dark night of the dome, the movements of a young girl goes near unseen as she moves through the park, regardless of the hour. She's not attempting to hide, no, though company isn't particularly wanted at the moment. The color in her normally deep, brown gaze is tinted a reddish hue that bleeds into the usual soft color. Her chest rises and falls, too quick to be normal as she swallows the air as though it may cure her current plague.]
[Her feet halt upon the frozen path, and her hand reaches out to rest upon a tree beside her. A sudden pang causes her to winch, and she kneels down, a hand clenching her chest, while the other wraps tight within her hair. Snowball fights, hot chocolate and visiting with new friends is fun and good but the activities have taken a toll. Much earlier than expected she was forced to retire as scent upon scent combined to remind her of the very thing she hasn't had in several days.
It's why she's broken free of the shelter to walk and hopefully clear her head. Perhaps she ought to move back to the manor she previously possessed before her disappearance. At least, separate from a place where so many humans are jam-packed, she won't be subjected to the constant and continual temptation that the scent of their blood brings. She has to remind herself that if the tablets are cleared, this won't be as painful, even if they are terribly ineffective at curing her thirst.
Throat dry and feeling parched, she swallows several times, but feels worse for the effort. At the back of her mind, she has to ignore the nagging voice of the beast within that becomes much louder in moments like these.]

[Jack opens his communicator, turns it to video, and stares into the thing without even the slightest problem. He's dealt with communicators before. Many types. There were only so many different ways you could build a communicator before only needed the slightest hints to work one.
handsome man that appears before you is looking rather calm, for being a newcomer, and if you know him at all, for being Jack. He turns the communicator a couple times, then offers a smile.]
What kind of planet is this? A prison planet? Can't say I haven't been to a few in my time, but... this was pretty abrupt. I didn't even get to see who captured me! [He might have been able to "persuade" them to let him go, after all.]
Well, down to business. I don't suppose any of you fine ladies and fine gentlemen could give me a few pointers here? I wouldn't want to get lost on my first day.
[Sounding rather like he has just arrived at his first day of school, his eyes trail to a bot beside him. He flashes it a charming enough grin, muttering to it for a second, then returns his attention to the camera.]
These guys don't seem quite as fun as flesh and blood people anyway.
02 January 2012 at 11:34 pm
[the video flicks on to a shot of Luna staring at something off-screen. It must be very interesting, because she is totally not looking at the camera.]
I don't think it's very fair for us to be here. [she starts off, no doubt these words are ones that everyone has heard!] We are underneath the ocean after all. The mermen and the other creatures that live in these waters must be terribly inconvenienced. I wouldn't particularly enjoy having a giant dome built across my home. I'd have to swim around or over it to get to the garden, and that would take more effort and time than it would have just swimming straight across.
[she pauses and for a moment it seems like she won't continue.] Has anyone asked them what they think?
[anyone who comes across sector three will see Luna walking slowly in a...spiral. Yes, that's right. If she sees you, she will probably approach first!]
02 January 2012 at 08:17 pm
[The communicator turns on to show a young girl with a concerned look on her face as she fiddles with the device for a bit. Once she's sure it's working, she smiles.]
Hello. I’m Rika Furude. It’s very nice to meet everyone. [There’s a slight pause as she considers asking about any of her friends, but she soon dismisses the idea. She can look for them on her own.]
When I first arrived here, I received a message about this fragment being some sort of prison. Is this true? [Her question sounds hopeful, and even though she knows it really is a prison, she still feels like she needs to ask.] This is a very nice city and there is even a library… It isn't what I pictured a prison to look like.
Mii... I was also wondering if there was anything I needed to know about this city. After all, if I’m going to be here for a long time, I should learn as much as I can about it. [She smiles again before she cuts off the feed.]
