Draco was used to Hermione being around by then, but that didn't mean he always felt comfortable around her, even if he was older than she was now. They had some cordial conversations and he helped get her apprenticeship when she was a student, but their contact beyond that was limited. They were mostly around each other rather than actively engaged. It was difficult to avoid with so many friends and family around. However, he didn't feel strange because was a muggle-born or because she beat him in every bloody subject. No, he felt uncomfortable because he regretted how he treated her. He wouldn't blame her if she hated him. Still, she mentioned possibly wanting a job outside the Board so Draco offered to help. She was only a few months out of school so he figured he could still act as a mentor of sorts, especially since she agreed to meet. It was the least he could do, right?

He arrived early and ordered enough tea and scones for both of them.

Remus and Tonks threw the previously mentioned dinner party tonight! During dinner, the guests were told Remus and Tonks are expecting a second child. Remus let Tonks deliver the news and kept his promise not to light fireworks or anything similarly loud and obnoxious! He did, however, have confetti ready. He promises not much…just a little. He is really happy and determined not to let the fears he had with Teddy haunt him this time around. After dinner, he made sure to try and spend some extra time with his oldest too (if Teddy would have him).

Elsewhere, some other special people are getting very important letters! They will not open until 7:00 p.m. Once opened, a stream of sparkles and confetti pop out and the letter sings “We are having a baby!”

Arthur didn't just want to get to know Hermione because she was his future daughter-in-law. Sure, that was special, but he saw that Hermione was important to Ron in the village too. He wasn't certain if they were dating or not, but that didn't matter. He knew bits and pieces of their past together and he also knew their son recently arrived. He thought Hugo (like all his grandkids) was aces, which had to mean Ron and Hermione were bloody good parents. Arthur worried he wasn't a good dad even though Ron once told him he was so he was glad to see his kids seemed like good parents. Of course, he hadn't met them all yet. He really wanted to, but he was at the village's mercy. And that? Was why Arthur didn't want to wait to get to know anyone properly. They could disappear tomorrow.

Arthur really wasn't a cook so he asked the pair to meet him at the cafe. He thought the smaller area would afford them more privacy for talking.

ALBUS: Al gives his aunt a painting of her parents. It is based on a photograph he was able to get through the genealogist office.

ERNIE: Ernie gives her a fruit basket and fancy quills (and should apologize for his lousy gift giving skills).

DRACO: Draco gives her a sweets basket and a book that details some of the greatest architectural designs in the world.

REMUS: Remus gives her several books, a sweets basket, this stuffed cat, and a simple gold pendent and chain. The pendent has the Chinese symbol for love sketched in.
