One of you psychic pricks locked me in here with a bunch of stuff built from my memories of my parents and dad's journals and I guess the time I snuck into Deep Impact. Fine, whatever, you win. With the travel and microwave teleporting happening lately, it got me to thinking. Maybe I can take a trip sometime for a little vacation. I'd have to see if anyone can cover my work time during it. And maybe after more of my lessons are done.

I've been mostly across the country, and a little bit out of the country.. just as far as Mexico. I was thinking maybe somewhere tropical next time. Or possibly Japan, or a bit of mountain climbing in Colorado. Actually, that might be a good idea. Hiking and mountain climbing would be nice exercise after all. And a good scenic view too. Now, I haven't picked out the exact date for it yet. But when I go, if I do end up going (plans can change), people are welcome to tag along if they want.

It looks like the television show I come from has been cancelled. What does this mean for me? Does this mean life as I know it is over? I won't lie. It has me worried.

Well, glad we made it past 2012. But then I'd never really went for that prediction, though I had a couple of my own before. Least we aren't being overtaken by machines now Of course, most thought my predictions were crazy at the time, only difference was that I turned out to be right But to celebrate the new year.. and also for any arrivals would be here now, I made a couple trays of oatmeal raisin cookies last night. They're in the complex kitchen for anyone that wants some.

All right, it's time to reevaluate things. We're not going to have a repeat of last night's debacle again.

For anyone who is new to the area, I'm Rose Tyler. I've been here in Lawrence for nearly two years now. I've trained as a Hunter, though I don't do it on a regular basis, and I've also been taking some of the self-defense classes.

What self-defense classes? Well, I'm glad you asked. Here at the Complex and at a couple of places around town, we offer various classes in how to defend yourselves against demon attacks, as well as attacks in general. Jo Harvelle-Shurley offers classes in knife and gun training at the Roadhouse for instance (eat and drink free for the displaced, as a gentle reminder!). Over at the city's Youth Center (run by yours truly), you can get training in swordwork and archery from those two guys from 12th Century Nottingham (nope, not kidding, if you're new it may take some time to sink in), Robin Hood and Sir Guy of Gisborne.

What we need, however, is more teachers and more knowledge of the lessons available to you. More people willing to guide. What I'm offering is a 'Welcome to Lawrence' type class. Learn the layout of the city, how your amulet works, how to protect your home, where everything available for the displaced is located, and, most importantly, who's offering which classes.

I think it might also be important to have someone teaching the proper pronounciation of the exorcism and other Latin blessings and curses we may need (looking at you, Andrew Wells!), and people who want to teach on any one specific creature that we may encounter. I know we all look at Peter Vincent as our resident vampire expert, and I also refer to Elena Gilbert as the ones in her world tend to be different.

Basically, this is a call for volunteers. We will find you a place to hold your lessons, just ask. Also, if you're already running a class (even if I've already mentioned you), please comment so we know who is still here and who we can look to for it.

Now, back to deciding what I want for my bauble wish thingie.

I'd like to thank you both for letting me stay in the Roadhouse during this insanity. I know all about insanity or being seen that way at least But.. the complex is under attack, I need to get over there and help out. If I'm not needed here Looks like attacks are getting into high gear now.

Also, I think there's good news too. I've read recently about some things changing back. Like Spike being solid again or August not wood anymore. So, knowing that.. I think there's a very big chance that those with powers might get them back also. I'd think that also means you'll have your girls again, they will return as they were before all this. And I promise to help pay back who did that, if I can. If I had an evil-killing gun, I'd loan it out to hunters all the time But for now, I think it's important that the complex over there is defended before it gets any worse.

I'm not going to sugarcoat this. We're under attack. Every camera I've got (and they extend for miles) has them headed this way. Not just the demons, either. Ghouls, hellhounds, you name it.

At this point, sitting in the security room is pointless. It isn't like we don't know there's a threat. I'm taking up arms and guarding the complex, and I'd suggest any fighters we have do the same. If you've been trained in hunting at all, now would be the time. If you aren't trained, head up to Lois Lane's room and stock up on holy water. Peter Vincent mostly restocked the armory, get a weapon if you have even the slightest idea how to use it. Make sure you have rock salt on hand.

So, people are being possessed. We know about Darcy, but has anyone else been taken? And then there's all the demons in town anyway, innocent people with pure evil forced inside them.

I know it's not something a lot of us like to think about, but there are innocent people in there, screaming to get out, praying someone will just help them. I know because I was one of them, for a year. Physical damage to the hosts won't hurt the demon at all, and it could kill the person. And choking on your own blood while everything is broken inside you is not a nice way to die

If you get possessed, then fight. Fight and scream and kick inside your own head, resist in every way you can, lock away things you know they might use. It'll be a fight you'll lose, I'm sorry. The demon will be more powerful, but the bigger headache you can cause them in the meantime, the better the chances that we can get it out of you.

Guess my stuff is gone too. I had tape recordings about my messages to John, one of them even had his voice accidentally on it. All gone. And the photo is gone too. And judging by what everyone else is saying, my gone isn't holding unlimited rounds anymore But if anyone needs help with salting and holy water, I'm here.

Listen up folks.

Some of you know that my husband is a prophet of the Lord. Some of you don't. Well occasionally when there's major angel/demon/Lucifer related things about to happen, he gets a head's up. That happened late last night, but he didn't get a chance to pick up on details and now he's practically comatose from the pain.

Long story short, something Lucifer-related is about to go down and it's going to be bad. No, he doesn't know what exactly. What I'm saying now is that we should all start preparing. I know we don't have details on what to prepare for, but patrols should start beefing up/becoming more frequent, and no one should go anywhere alone. Those of you who've been to the camp and know how to shoot and fight, or those in general who know how - even if its just defending yourself - get armed, stay armed. If you need a gun or knife, come by the Roadhouse; I've got a pretty large supply of weaponry I've massed over the last couple of years and I can loan or give you something that suits. Archers, I know that Clint & Robin have been making bows for a few months now, so if you need one I'd recommend going to them and stocking up on arrows.

Just because we don't know what's about to happen doesn't mean we can't get ready for general bad. I hope we all get through whatever this will be

So, I know I'm not the most social person ever and a lot of new people have showed up and I haven't even said hi, so. Hi. I'm Chuck. AKA Jo's husband, AKA "that beardy dude with the laptop who kind of lurks in the Roadhouse, who even is that?" - yeah, that's me. Hey.

Basically I'm just throwing this out there 'cause I know Jo probably will otherwise and I figured it's kind of a good excuse to make an attempt at being social-ish... basically? There will be a ton of food at the Roadhouse for Thanksgiving. Probably enough that, if it was just us, we'd have leftovers until Christmas. Like, literally.

So, if you don't have plans, but you kind of want plans, even very loose plans that mostly just involve really large amounts of food, or you don't know the holiday but it sounds kind of awesome (because, being thankful + food, basically), feel free to swing by the Roadhouse after around 5pm Thursday. I think the turkey will be done around then. Turkeys, rather. There are multiples, 'cause I figured once I put this out there, one wouldn't be enough.

So. Yeah. Dinner starts at 5 if you want to eat with us and do the whole real Thanksgiving thing. After that, even if you had a dinner somewhere else but you kind of feel like leftovers, we'll have plenty for probably a couple days, at least, depending on how many people show up, so don't be afraid to pop in.

...Also the cranberry sauce is real cranberry sauce. I feel this is important to note. I don't mess around with the canned stuff, it's all wiggly and that isn't even sauce, why would they call it that? It's either Jello, or lies, and I make my own because that's the way to do it.

Seeing as it's been a very long time since it's been done, I think maybe it's time those of you leading classes here for the displaced spoke up and introduced yourselves. We keep mentioning that they happen but some of our new arrivals don't know what they're getting into until they go to their first ones.

So if you're running a class, introduce yourselves. Say what you teach and why it might help. Say where it's located. Or, if you're not running anti-Apocalypse classes but still have something important to contribute to the displaced (for example, those of us from the Seal eat and drink at the Roadhouse for free, THANKS JO!), let everyone know.

That being said, hi new people! Particularly new teenagers and pre-teens. I'm Rose Tyler and I run a youth center in the city. We offer various classes, including dance and martial arts, sports, homework assistance, and general after school activities like movie days, a skate park, video game marathons, and even a sort of mentoring program for those who just need someone to talk to. You don't need to come every day, you don't need to stay for any length of time. It's basically just a safe place to meet kids your age (displaced and non-Seal-spat) and have some fun.

Since clearly word has not spread enough! SATURDAY NIGHT! There's a party. A great big party of Halloween filled amazingness. Yes, you should dress up. ...let's not let what happened last year get to us, okay? We're going to have music and dancing and tons of food and it's going to be amazing. I'm holding it at the Youth Center, mostly because the gymnasium there can hold everyone with no problem and it isn't as weird getting a DJ in the complex.

NOW! I know not everyone is rolling in money and some of you are new to this time period. You are not exempt. I raided a few costume shops as well as the antique store I used to work at. There's now a huge pile of costumes and pieces that can be made into costumes sitting in the front office at the Center. Neutral location, see how I work? Let's all be friends, dammit If you don't have a costume yet, come on by and take a look, see if you can find something you like.

I expect to see everyone there. No exceptions, or I will stern-face at you. I'm looking at you, Moody Gisborne.
