So building off of what Peter was suggesting, why don't those of us who have confidence take the fight to this Dark before he can strike at us and the people of this city? I'm not suggesting we go waltzing to the carnival spreading love and joy, but just spreading it across the city.

I have to say, chap picked perhaps the worst time to bring the carnival back here with Valentine's Day and romance being high in the air. So why don't we use the holiday to our advantage and hurt him first? Element of surprise and all of that. Perhaps if we strike first, he will be weakened and thus be less able to hurt others while we work on getting rid of him for good. It could be a bit of a David versus Goliath scenario, but one small stone turned the tide of that of that fight, so put faith within yourself and anything can happen.

I got into community college. I didn't talk about applying because I wasn't sure how it'd work out, but I got in. And. Um. Well. I never thought I'd be excited for more school considering how high school and the whole college thing went before but new life, right? New chances.

Calling all Seal-Napped-Singles!!

It has come to my attention due to an overwhelming amount of gaudy red chocolate hearts and cheesy cutesie paper Valentines, that a certain holiday is approaching. And do not want. The annual reminder of people being annoyingly and smushily in love really should burn in hell. (And here, that COULD be arranged...except St. Valentine isn't here...someone get on this)

It is a truth universally acknowledged that February 14th is ALSO now declared Singles Awareness Day. And, for this, we shall have a Singles Awareness Day party! Cause let's face it, what DOESN'T deserve a party?? Thursday the 14th, my apartment (or flat, for my dear British friends), I'll get some pizzas and salads, BYOB, and we're going to pretend for one night that the world doesn't want us all to get matched up two-by-two.

Though rule, if you get hooked up at said party, you move on to another apartment! Cause hey, we're happy for you and good job, but there will be no makey-outey or nakey time at the Singles' party!

So, what kinds of non-human beings call Lawrence home? I could wait to learn in class, but I got kind of curious.

Also, anyone up for doing movie night tomorrow? Maybe a theater in town or just renting something and staying in.

Does anyone have cures for nightmares weird dreams sleep?

I tried watching Doctor Who episodes but that only leads to my dreams involving giant talking heads and Earth exploding. Which I guess is a step up from what they were but still having the opposite effect of actual sleep. Tried sleep CDs and they just make me think of whales and keep me up.

I think I'm almost at the maximum threshold for how much coffee the body can handle.

I expected it for Eponine, I truly did. But I suppose, in retrospect, it was bound to happen. This is the first time I've ever been spotted as my 'facetwin'. Hopefully the hype will die down shortly. Seeing Belle's face everywhere is a bit difficult, though of what I've read, she's due to have a wonderful life back at her home. Certainly better than Cosette's mother, I guarantee.

In other, much more exciting and cheerful news, these Christmas baubles have their benefits. Apparently, I'm now licensed to practice law in the state of Kansas.

What would you say to opening the Inn to anyone without a place to spend Christmas day on Tuesday? I'll get the ingredients together for any sort of meal you'd like us to make and then anyone who's new or has few friends or their friends will be with family... No one should have to be alone that day.

It's only 10 days til Christmas and it's just starting to sink in that I'm not going to see my family this year.
