Time:10:15 pm
Who: Lydia and Justin
Where: The Market
When: Afternoon

With the chaos of the last few days, Lydia was glad for things to start getting back to normal. It had also given her great inspiration to paint, and so she went to the market, just to see if anything was new. Even if there was, she wasn’t entirely sure how she would buy it, but maybe she could track down Skylar and see if he’d grab it for her. It wasn’t something to worry about unless she found something she just had to had. She just liked being out and about, acting like a normal human even if she wasn’t.

Who: Devin and Justin
Where: Eatzy's
When: afternoon

Devin was not exactly a ray of sunshine as he worked in the kitchen of the diner. Nothing like finding out that vampires and werewolves were real and that just about everyone he knew was keeping secrets from him. That was how it seemed to him right then, anyway, in his state of pissed-off hurt feelings. He was already planning out in his mind what he was going to say to Charlie when he got home, how he was going to twist the verbal knife, make his uncle sorry for treating him like some dumb kid who wouldn’t be able to understand anything. Yes, that might be a dick move, but Devin didn’t care. He was just that irritated.

He was chopping vegetables for salads, and he’d be lucky if he didn’t chop his own damn fingers off. Muttering under his breath, Devin dumped a cutting board full of diced cucumber into a large plastic tub.

Who: Justin, Zania and Lance
Where: Zania’s
When: Early morning (around 1:45am)

Justin hadn’t been sleeping much when he got Zania’s text message. He’d been roaming the house, calling out for his ghost friend, wanting to finally have a conversation with her to figure out what the hell she wanted with him. But his sister’s message had him shifting priorities fairly quickly, and it didn’t take him long to change into a pair of jeans and a long sleeved thermal shirt. After tugging his shoes on, Justin left the house and immediately started for Zania’s. He moved quickly, but barely broke a sweat before knocking loudly on her door, his hand falling to the door knob. He would let himself in if she didn’t answer in a few seconds, his impatience simmering and his concern overwhelming anything else. “Zania,” he called out.

“Who is it?” Zania called out as she sat in the living room, tying up her boots. The room was a mess with blood on the couch and the floor, plus the dead body of what was a werewolf. It made her glad they didn’t have carpet, otherwise clean up would be even worse, though she hadn’t gotten to that yet. Zania had showered and dressed, all moving slower than she would have liked. Her body was still sore, even if she’d healed.

Who: Justin and Devin
When: Late morning
Where: Eatzy’s

Despite the power still being out, Justin was at work. There were simply too many perishable items in the diner that would eventually spoil if they didn’t make sure the temperatures of the freezer was still safe. Justin knew if the freezer held up, they had at least one more day before they would have to throw things out. He met Devin that morning outside of the diner, his keys in hand. He hated being closed, because it meant money wasn’t being made and there was nothing he could do about it.

“Gorgeous day,” Justin said dryly as he approached the back door and Devin. The rain continued to fall, but nowhere near as bad as the day before.

Who: Zania and Justin
When: Mid-morning
Where: Eatzy’s

Justin was beginning to seriously consider closing up. He had sent the cook and waiter home, able to manage the place on his own, given he hadn’t had any customers since Clementine left. It was looking decidedly worse outside, and there was only so much paperwork he could tolerate before he got bored. He decided to give it a bit longer, and he sat in one of the booths by the window, drinking his coffee and watching the increasingly high winds. It was bizarre, the weather. He recalled talking about it briefly with Riley. But nothing in the dome was surprising to him anymore. If he could claim to be a werewolf, and have a sister who was a vampire, odd weather wasn’t going to throw him.

Who: Justin and Clementine
When: Morning
Where: Eatzy’s

The breakfast rush was not so much a rush that morning as it was a slow trickle of people. One of his waitresses had been sick, so Justin was behind the counter, taking a few orders and pouring coffee. He didn’t mind it so much as he did the weather. It was cloudy and the wind was ridiculous, which he knew would keep people inside. If it began to storm, which he was starting to think it might, that meant lunch was going to be just as dead as well.

With only one person at the end of the counter eating a plate of pancakes, Justin had a cup of coffee at the other end, leaning against it casually as he glanced over the schedule for the rest of the day and into the evening. He needed to leave for a few hours, at least, so he was hoping the rest of his staff would show up so he wouldn’t have to lock up. He was already losing money, thanks to the damn, unpredictable weather.

Who: Justin and Riley
Where: Eatzy's
When: Morning

It was Mrs. Haggerty's day off and Riley wanted breakfast that didn't taste like a third grade home ec disaster so he took himself down to Eatzy's. He knew Justin was sometimes around and he wanted to catch the guy for a bit of shop talk too so it worked out well that he had a reason to eat too. The past couple days since the full moon had been strange for him. Lia was a werewolf but she wasn't a monster. Sophia and he had bonded quite a bit but the little girl still had no idea he was her father. And there was the ever simmering pot of jealousy and frustration over Lia's every mention of running off to Micah to fix all her problems and answer all her questions.

Who: Justin and Lydia
When: Evening
Where: Justin's house

It was the darkness that always seemed to bring Lydia down, when day started to fade into night and people headed into their homes. She could try to stay where the people were, at the pub or the diner, but she knew what would happen. The lights would flicker and go out, people would get spooked, and she’d be reminded of what she was. Even if she didn’t try, this was the worst time of day for her, and she found herself wandering towards Justin’s house. What was he doing tonight, the night after the full moon? Lydia walked through the front door when she arrived at his house, invisible as she looked around to see if he was home.

Justin was, indeed, home. After leaving the encampment that morning, he had texted his sister, fallen into bed and slept for several hours. Then he spent the remainder of his day at the diner, trying his hardest to get back into his routine. It was a strange feeling, pretending to be normal when he so clearly wasn't anymore. After leaving the diner in capable hands that evening, Justin walked home and took a shower, letting the hot water do it's best to wash away the tension in his shoulders and back.

Who: Justin and Zania
When: late morning/early afternoon
Where: Lance’s house

Justin had sent Zania a text earlier about stopping by to talk to her for a few minutes after he finished his morning duties at Eatzy’s. The full moon was that night and yes, he was feeling restless. There might have been a touch of anxiety too, but he wasn’t about to admit to it. It wasn’t every day someone turned into a full fledged werewolf, after all, and Justin had no idea what to expect.

When she replied that she was at the house next door, Justin’s curiosity was piqued, but he didn’t question it. Instead, he lit a cigarette and walked over, wondering if this was Mickey’s place. Or someone new. Maybe just a girlfriend. Who the fuck knew anymore. He certainly didn’t have the social life his sister had. Walking up the porch steps, Justin flicked his cigarette into the yard and then knocked.

Just so you know. )

Who: December and everyone helping out
Where: the woods near the trader's circle
When: mid day

So, there was a great clearing, which was nice, and weirdly, a lot of people seemed to show up. She had opted to go buy a lot of water, and other shit, almost like she was setting up for a town freaking picnic. Only instead they were building super fun werewolf cages. Right.

As people milled around, she looked at everyone, and stood up on a cooler she'd brought. "Okay! So, hi. I'm December. And I figured this was our best bet, so that's why we're all here. To make sure tomorrow night doesn't get stupid and terrifying at the same time. Thanks for coming. Let's get this show on the road as fast as we can, and get this done. Honestly, with this many people it shouldn't take that long." Which was kinda shocking, but damn. There were a lot of people. "Any questions, find me and ask. Have at it."

Subject:Pack Meeting
Time:10:54 pm
Characters: Micah and OPEN TO ALL WEREWOLVES
Setting: Hospital Chapel, just after 10pm

Micah had watched them file in, the variety of patients in a variety of states. He'd chosen to sit up on the makeshift altar, not that a non denominational chapel would really have an altar, but it did. After a while, when he was sure no one else was going to drift in he stood up, watching them, meeting their eyes before giving a smile a shot.

"Thanks for coming," he said. "I think this is all of us, for now at least. Anyone who didn't come by, I'll go find them later." He shifted his weight for a moment before jumping into things.

"I know all of you are feeling weird. Heightened sense of smell, heightened hearing, things like that," he said looking around the room. "Maybe even some tweaks to your personality, and you're probably all running a fever. I know because I'm going through the same thing." He smiled again, feeling more like the doctor and standing up a little straighter. They will listen to you. They need you. The voice was in the back of his head reassured him.

"I've looked through everything and the answer, it's strange. But things are strange these days. Any of us who saw the zombies know that. That said. I think we're werewolves. Or we will be turning into them. It explains the quick healing, it explains the senses all of it. It's ridiculous, but there's been other weird things happening. It's not just us." He shrugged a little.

"That said, you can believe me or not. I can't prove it one way or another. But I can tell you that there's people out there that want to keep us in line. They'll hunt us if we step out of line, just like they did the zombies. We need to prepare. We need to stick together."

Time:09:19 am
Who: Justin and Zania
When: Late afternoon
Where: Eatzy’s
Warnings: Some language

For once Justin was kind of thankful for the rain. It had slowed business down some, giving Justin time to catch up on things that had been put off while he’d been in the hospital. His leg was feeling better, and his limp was less noticeable as he moved around the diner. His mood wasn’t as sour as it had been the last few days, although he was still having trouble where his senses were concerned. He had no intention of going back to the hospital to get checked out, though, and after taking inventory, Justin hid himself away in the small office near the back of the diner to go over the schedule. He could still hear the cook talking to a customer, could hear the sizzle of the grill, and even smell the meat cooking. But at least it wasn’t as pronounced as it had been when he was up front. He was getting tired of the permanent headache.

The ridiculousness of it doesn’t make it any less possible )

No two ways about it, Serge was sore. He’d expected it after the last few nights of chaos and combat, sure, and knew he’d be in rougher shape than he liked as he’d finally laid down to rest, but waking up? It was a fresh hell, one composed of vivid bruising along his ribs and back, firey aches in his shoulders and biceps, healing stiffness in his neck. It was, in fact, a normal feeling after getting knocked over and pinned by four-hundred-plus pounds of feral wolf.

Who: Justin and Micah
Where: Hospital
When: late afternoon

Justin was more than ready to go home, and he was starting to get impatient and antsy. Not a good combination for him, or for those around him. He was snappier than he wanted to be with the staff, but he had a business to run and while his leg was sore, it was feeling better since being treated the night before. Of course, that could have been the pain medication doing it’s job. In any case, Justin was ready to be released, and he had spent most of the day arguing with whoever came in to change his bandages.

He sat on the hospital bed now, trying to get a feel for the pain in his leg, debating whether or not he could walk home without doing more damage to the injury. With the power back on, Eatzy’s needed to open and he didn’t trust anyone else to get it done.

Who: Zania and Justin
Where: The streets
When: Evening
Warning: Violence, Language

Once Justin realized the power wasn’t going to be returning anytime soon, he did his best to salvage the perishable food he had remaining in the deep freezer near the back of the diner. The food inside would eventually spoil as well if the power didn’t return soon, and that fact alone had Justin stewing as he packed the freezer as tightly as he could before locking it up. It pissed him off that he was losing money with each passing hour, but there was nothing he could do about it short of trying to get a generator, and with the dome locked, that wasn’t happening anytime soon.

It was evening by the time Justin finished, locked up the diner and headed out. The power outage made the streets darker than usual, but given Zania’s new place was barely a block from the diner, it didn’t bother him. He didn’t know much about her roommate, or if Zania had filled her in on her blood cravings, and Justin was already thinking he’d invite Zania back to his place so they could talk a bit.

Pulling out a cigarette from his nearly empty pack, Justin knocked on Zania’s door before lighting up and glancing around the street.

Justin was in afoul mood. The downpour of rain had been keeping people inside, and he had only a few people in the diner, two of which he was pretty sure were simply waiting for the rain to let up long enough for them to make a run for home. Given the weather, he had sent most of the staff home but for the cook, willing to wait on any patrons himself, since he was already losing money keeping the place open.

It was inching toward three in the afternoon when he took a seat in one of the booths after serving a burger to a woman at the counter. There was a semi-permanent scowl on his face, and he began to work on the employee schedule for the next week, immediately penciling Zania's name into the night shifts. He really needed to check in on her, and Justin made a mental note to do that soon.

Who: Justin & Eily
When: Evening
Where: O'Reilly's Bar & Brewery

With his day finished at the diner, Justin left the assistant manager in charge and was happy to be done with the place for the night. It had been a busy day, but nothing Justin hadn't been able to handle. Having helped manage a chaotic, crowded nightclub for several years, the diner, even on it's busiest day, was still a piece of cake to deal with. But the hours had still been long, especially since he had been distracted by a few personal things. So Justin decided to wander across the street to the bar, thinking he more than deserved a beer or two to finish off his Friday night.

He had taken a seat at the bar and was nearly finished with his first glass when the lightning storm hit. It seemed to distract quite a few people who were hanging out in the bar, and a few even left their seats to wander toward the windows to look outside. Justin stayed put, no longer surprised at the strange shit that had begun to happen inside the dome. His sister was a vampire for Christ's sake. A vampire

"Shit," Justin murmured with amusement before shaking his head and taking another drink of his beer. What the hell were they all in for, anyway?

Who: Justin and Mickey
When: Mid morning
Where: The diner

The morning had been pretty chaotic. The beautiful weather brought people in for breakfast, and Justin found himself out front, helping the staff with orders. After a couple hours, the crowd thinned out, Justin took a couple bags of trash out back to dump in the bin. When he returned, he was directed to the kitchen where the sink had apparently sprung a small leak. Justin examined it more closely, but it didn’t appear to be anything he could fix. And he had no idea if that kid in town, Mickey, knew any plumbing.

Justin sent him a text anyway to ask, and requested he come by as soon as he could if he had the time. The last thing Justin needed was the kitchen to flood, since it would shut down the entire diner for awhile, and Justin couldn’t afford not to bring in whatever profit he could.

Time:12:40 pm
Who: Justin and Clementine
When: Morning
Where: Eatzy's 24 Hour Diner
Warnings: None

With Zania having switched to night shifts, Justin did his best to rearrange the schedule so it suited everyone. He was thinking maybe he ought to hire another body or two, but he decided to wait awhile, just to see how Zania adapted to her new... condition. Justin was fairly certain she would stick around simply because she needed the money, but if it got to be too difficult, for whatever reason, Justin knew he would have to replace her.

The sky was gray with the occasional shower, and the diner wasn't as busy as Justin would have liked. Whether it was the rain, or the paranoia that came from bat bites and death, he wasn't sure. But it allowed him a few moments peace, and he stood up front, leaning behind the counter with a glass of water, skimming over a list of inventory that was needed. It was hard to concentrate, knowing his sister was a vampire now, but Justin did his best to block it from his mind until he absolutely had to deal with it.

When: Afternoon
Where: Eatzy's 24 Hour Diner
Warnings: None

She waited till it started raining to leave the house, the umbrella double protection from any sun that might peek through the clouds. Being unable to go out in the sunlight was making her life difficult, especially when it came to work, and she knew by this point she’d missed at least one shift. Maybe two. Which was why she was heading to the diner now, instead of her brother’s house, because if she’d missed work, then he was most likely filling in for her. Which he probably hated. It was one thing to run a diner and another to stand in as a waiter.

Zania entered through the back, checking the office first before heading out to the main diner. She’d been dreading this conversation for days, but if there was one person she needed to tell, it was him. “Justin,” she loudly whispered. “I need to talk to you.”
