Hello? Hello? Blanks? I am bored, I can't see you...

[There is a whisper coming from the Arena, and if you start walking towards it, you will find that the time it takes to walk there is sped up as when there is a game. The sickly green light is still illuminating the Arena, but the dampened sound is gone for now at least. The Mirror from the beginning of the play is still there too, and in the back there is Haunteds mansion with it's (not so) invitingly door open.]

I remembered a game I played last time I was on a sleepover, so I modified it to fit my tastes a bit more. Won't you come in to my house and play a round of Truth or Dare?

[Somehow--just somehow--a person in brown has managed to make his way out of the dorms and is now studying the stalagmites and general area with FASCINATION. he is also carrying his brass message tube with him and might knock it against the more solid-looking stone bits]

Oh, this is brilliant. Gorgeous, even! Not too bad of a place to live, considering, but well... I say not bad...

[Like every time the headless statue of Haunted shows up in the Arena the torches around her are dimmed, but this time there also seems to be an eerie sickly glow to them. The little fire they contain is tainted with something green at its centre and it looks like they could fade into oblivion at any moment. The Arena is also strangely devoid of sound. There is no crackling from the flames and the footsteps of entering blanks are completely silent. The only thing you can hear is the voices of each other, even if those too are muted. When enough blanks have gathered and the statue finally speaks up, it's with great contrast to everything else, as if that voice is the only sound that still retains it's former clarity in this place today.]

[Little has changed since you left, other than the light suffusing the Arena is brighter, in time with the day.

As the last of the teams file in, possessions in hand, pushed or pulled behind, the water seeping into the Arena seems to simply be drawn out.

The eastern doors groan, shudder and swing shut with a final, echoing boom. The soft sound of sobbing and water halts just as suddenly. One of the helper ants begins chewing on a wall idly.]

That out of the way! Lets get a little organized, shall we? Please head to the Southern Gate, and line up by partner teams.

Ah, and yes, Cepheus and Lacerta are now partners. Moving on!

[Those who answer the Call today are some level of muddy or wet, having had to slog in through ankle deep mud or knee deep water.

There is very little pomp and circumstance to this particular Call. No unusual setup, no grand sweeping changes as you enter. It is merely bright, full of a dawning, sourceless light and the throne sitting in the middle of the usual ruins and barren spaces you find in the Arena normally.

The King, himself, sits upon the throne.]

[There's a loud call coming from the arena... more like ambulance sirens. It's really too loud to ignore.

If you manage to wade out towards the arena, you'll find several large platform to keep yourself dry and off the ground and a MYSTERIOUS BOX that's currently locked. There's also a couple of chairs off to the side, but trust me, you don't want to sit there.

*a lot of things were brought up at Del's meeting, and Jace is lost in thought for most of the way back. it's not until he's back to Canis proper that he fully realizes something that's been nagging at him -- the familiar presence of one of his teammates is quite definitely not present.*
