What: fffield operation it's awright

* there's nothing unusual about a blazing furnace in the forge, or that blonde Cephean guy hanging around by himself in there... what might seem off would be the lack of sounds normally associated with metal being beaten into submission. *

* said guy is currently sitting on the floor, a knife beside him, eying the bandages wound tightly round his right hand and fingers. Glancing at the furnace from time to time. *

Who: PARTY WITH PAVO
Where: South of the southernmost dorms, just as the torchlight begins to fade
When: Day 225, late morning onward
What: Bathtime :D :D

[While not quite the same kind of rumble as an earthquake, there's definitely something happening south of the dorms today; something that almost sounds like a small explosion, to those familiar with such things.

Following shortly after is the most curious thing — a cloud that billows from the explosion's epicentre, travelling out and around before dissipating. But not dust and debris . . . in fact, any even moderately close example will tell you it's damp.

. . . and . . . warm?

Investigation further south will reveal what was once a rather unremarkable gully. Now, it's filled with a furor of activity as blanks (most in purple) and giant ants work together, raising walls around the densest patch of steam, manoeuvring beams into place for the roof. For so much preparation, the event itself barely takes more than a few hours, leaving a wooden structure where there was none before.

And inside? Inside, my fine fellows, is a little slice of paradise.]
