[TODAY IN THE ARENA...it is filled with cardboard grass. And cardboard sheep. All lazily wobbling about as if the were actually grazing. As for the Judges throne. . .]

On the throne stood the dainty shepherd known as the Storyteller, dressed quite properly for her role for the upcoming game. She stood valiantly watching over he beloved flock, oh so worried about the nasty dogs that always picked on them. Surely the blanks would provide some stress relief and aid her! As they filed in she begin to quip:

"Baa baa dear blanks
Are you easily fooled?
How quickly, just how quickly
Can you find all the wolves?"

What: Making bearbee candy. :|d

[After much trial and tribulation and some failed attempts, which noodle is doing his best to ignore, Watanuki is outside the Canis/Lacerta dorms carefully pulling candy made from bearbee blood. There's already a neat little spread of candy (placed carefully on lizard-fat greased paper) that's cooling in the evening chill.]

Ow--! I really need to get a good pair of gloves or something. Stupid hot candy.

Where: From the dorms to the mine and back again

Water and baskets and guards and tools . . . and 's not so loud anymore.

And so the first chapter ended, and the brave sheep offered up two blanks, solemnly giving into their fate as Players! But who between these unfortunates would be sent to the butcher's?

It's a question I can not answer, dear reader, but the story is only beginning! What the future holds for both the adorable flock and those ugly dogs is not yet written!

The tale continues on, as signified when a familiar tally keeping sheep waddles into the arena, and the blanks are drawn back.
