Hi everybody! I just have a (hopefully) quick and simple question. I'm trying to create a fake news article, and I want to make it look like it's on a newspaper. Anybody have any easy coding that would let me do that? I thought I saw it here somewhere once, but I can't seem to find it. Thank you so much in advance!

Are there any other places to go that are like pbcoding?

Lately many multi-fandom games have the term 'MCU' on their cast list and this is a great idea. For those that don't know, MCU stands for Marvel Cinematic Universe. So my question is which movies are considered MCU? All and every movie with Marvel characters? All movies under Marvel studios? Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D?

Right now, as far as I can tell from several cast pages that I've read, the term does not include the X-Men films, Daredevil (2003) and Elektra (2005), Spider-Man (2002) and the two sequels, Fantastic Four (2005) and the sequel. Should they? Are you a mod and do consider it MCU?

I'm assuming that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will be included in the term since it's Whedon but if someone could confirm this, that would be great. The animated Marvelverse is under Disney but I'm going to assume that no one would consider this MCU, since it's technically MAU (Marvel Animated Universe) if it should be a RP term at all.

If I left anything out, please don't hesitate to point that out.

Alright ~rp_tutorials, I have a question. I can do this basic scroll over popup text box on an image:

Is there a way, however, to break the text lines? Whenever I try it shows up perfectly in the html preview, but once I'm done with the html the sentences get smashed together: <~ when I preview this post there are three individual sentences in the text box, but when I review the icon in the actual post it becomes all one lone sentence. Help?

Also! I looked through the tags, and I know this exists but I can't find it. There was a post that showed how to have an icon image change when you rolled your mouse over it. Does anyone know where it is? I looked in animations, codes, extras, guides: image editing, resources: tutorials and a few other tags. Maybe I looked it over by mistake?

I am mildy confused and annoyed. I have been having some issues saving/downloading pictures/icons that appear to be hosted from Photobucket. At first I thought it was something I might have done to change the way my files were saving on my Mac, but that isn't the case. (As far as I am aware) My second guess as to my problem was that the DOWNTHEMALL add-on I have been using was on the fritz. This also isn't true, since I can still DOWNTHEMALL from Hollow-art or any icon maker who isn't hosting on a Photobucket account. What is happening is that my files end up saving as HTML and there isn't an image. This has mildly frustrated me and I just asked a friend and she says it happened to her too, and she also assumed it was something she had done. I know that Photobucket just upgraded or something, so maybe its something with the new site? Thoughts, theorys, suggestions?

Update: Thank you to jealousheart, erin, & nympholepsy for your input. It was all very helpful and what I'm walking away with is that visuals + descriptions is what a typical Player is looking for or expects/wants to see.

Hello everyone!

I am currently working on a "map" for havenwood and I'm curious what other players have found useful in games they have played in previously. Have you found a map-like visual helpful? Are they used often? Or, have you found that a locations/description page with images with a general representation of a place/building better, more useful, or more common?

Any suggestions would be appreciated and really, really helpful! :)

I apologize ahead of time if this has already been asked and I just did not find it. Searched Everything_LJ as well and not finding an answer there, either so thank you ahead of time.

I'm using an S1 layout, which I have not done in a loooooong time, so I don't remember all the little tricks and details, but isn't there a way to get tables to show up correctly in a post, despite the S1 overrides? I am trying to use a navigation table in a post that will get forward-dated so it stays on top of all the other posts but for the life of me I can't recall if it's even possible. After editing, from the actual post screen, the table looks fine. Viewing from the journal itself, the table has defaulted to the colors and text styles of the overrides.

Is there a trick... or is it not possible? What do people do instead?

I know there was once one posted but the entry has been deleted, so, help me rp_tutorials people, you're my only hope!

I am looking for an easy to update/alphabetize character directory that uses usericon size pics. One that will automatically shuffle itself when you go and insert a character alphabetically, instead of having to shuffle the tables all manually - because I am fairly html illiterate and need the ease of just copying and pasting.

So if such a thing exists out there I would be delighted if someone could point me in the direction! Thanks!

HELP!! Pretty please!?!?

Okay, so I found THIS LOVELY layout and made a few minor changes to fit my CHARACTER JOURNAL here. Maybe it’s because I’m tired and ready for bed, but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to make it so the mood theme icons display right. Verses being cut off by the dotted/dashed line that separates the entry from the ‘comment’ links.

ETA-
I would even settle for finding a way to make the mood theme images to disappear on the 'recent' page.

I'm pretty sure I read something here that certain kinds of coding just doesn't work in the userinfo regardless if you're using LiveJournal or InsaneJournal. Apparently I forgot that because I learned the hard way that this does not look like this as it should. If it's possible, I'd like to keep as much of the original coding as intact as I can, but if I can't, I can't. Below is the code for anyone to look at and, if possible, make suggestions on how I can fix it.

So I have a few journals that I don’t use anymore and I want to clean them out and give them away (or possibly trade). I just recently saw someone comment another on here already, with how to force your journal off other people’s friends list. I am wondering though, is there is a way to delete tags off a journal?
