It's my son's first Christmas. He's not even five months old and won't remember ANY of it, but that's not stopping me from going out and purchasing a new camera to take lots of photos. Neither of my parents were very fond of the practice, but I find myself wishing I had more photographs to remember them by. I guess it's never too early to start.

So apparently as I am a single (and ready to mingle) bachelor that means that I drew the short straw when it came to being on duty Christmas Day.

Molls, even invoking your sprogs didn't seem to sway them. I'll be around for Boxing Day and will make sure Father Christmas is well-stocked for the morning.

With all that has been going on, March seems so far away yet also just a blink of an eye. This is my first Christmas without my parents, but also my son's first. So mixed emotions. I should be celebrating, but it feels a little difficult when there won't be any mince pies from my mother and no one to delight more at the terrible jokes from the crackers.

But what about all the memories I will make with my son? I have that to look forward to.

So let's all raise a glass to those we lost this year and swear that they will live on in our memories and hearts. Because we cannot keep looking back to the past, but to the future. One that is better and brighter for future generations.

I find it odd, as someone who adopted England as my home, that you are not taught the Dark Arts out of fear, but no such fear exists when it comes to using dark creatures to keep their citizens controlled 'safe.'

Whatever is going on politically, it's always a relief to be able to shut yourself away in the greenhouse and work. There's nothing like getting your fingers in fresh soil to remind you that after every death there is rebirth.

I know you won't respond to this. Yet, for some reason, I am writing to you anyway. The office doesn't feel the same without you. And for some reason, it just feels like there is a lot less light at the end of the tunnel in this damn war. I know that isn't fair to put that on you but that is how it feels. I just felt like you were always going to be there fighting the good fight and now you are gone. It just seems hard to process. I know we all will continue on. We have to. But I guess I just miss your grumpy ass. So I suppose my writing this is my way of getting to say goodbye since I didn't get a chance to or something.

The Death Eaters and the Lestranges are an affront to all the traditions I have learned growing up in some of the most conservative countries in Europe. For shame.

Is anyone else getting tired of these tight-arsed purists complaining about being held accountable for their actions? Or is it just me?

Can someone please explain to me - a reasonable and intelligent witch - how exactly the Prophet can post articles and allow their authors to hide behind the title 'Anonymous'. If you are going to write or say something - own it with your own name for the love of all things!

What the Prophet is doing is inciting fear and allowing names to be smeared without cause. Because people are brought in for questioning does not mean they are guilty. But the wording of this article is going to paint them this way - and cause their family's, their reputations, and they themselves undo amounts of harm while the author can go on about their lives without a care because they are allowed to hide behind the 'Anonymous' moniker.

The deaths of the Bones' is horrible and we need answers - obviously. But in covering an ONGOING investigation in this sort of way? I hardly see how this is helping anyone.

Daily Prophet you must do better - the Anonymous moniker is inexcusable when the coverage is in this type of manner. Someone needs to own their words.

The times that we live in are absolutely ludicrous.
