Shops were putting up signs today "Purists Only" or "Non-Purist Only". Unless you are very opinion about your political beliefs how are they making that determination. Are they taking a survey when you go in? Just an observation while I was out for coffee on my break. Fun first day back.

And no. I do not feel discriminated against before anyone says it. It was simply a curious observation. One where I was curious about how people were determining how they fit into each category.

Today we all remember that life has consequence. In all things, only death can pay for life.

As it becomes mid-November the reality that the holiday season is upon us becomes harder to ignore. I hate the forced cheerfulness and the empty wishes of Happy Christmas from people who don't really care if you do not. I'll be ready for it to be over and it hasn't really even started.

Sitting on the sidelines is boring. The Aurors taking in purebloods just because they might be a purist and there is nothing we can do. This angers me and I just am supposed to sit idly by. I hate this.

The Ministry of Magic is doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our citizens. The Death Eaters are a threat to all of us. The Wizengamot will do what the Aurors could not by any means necessary.

As some of you might have seen, Walburga Black has decried the Ministry for their methods of trying to learn our identities. She is not lying. The Wizengamot has approved the use Veritaserum on those who received a summons. They are starting with those believed to be close to Bellatrix and Rodolphus, but I have reasons to believe they have far more names than that. This has gone beyond the Auror department, but was brought forth by Gareth Bones.

I think we need to show him what happens when you play with fire.

Death is fascinating. Even when insignificant it creates a ripple effect. The way it impacts those around it, who are touched by it even in briefly by extension. Deaths effects can be fleeting but a moment in someone's mind as they move on. Or it can be devastating and gut-wrenching. Watching the emotions wash over someone as they battle through the stages of acceptance. Death can bring with it scrutiny in many ways. It can be timely, it can be a surprise, it can be inconvenient. Watching the wave of impact. A tsunami to some or just rolling in of the tides to another. Fascinating.

Another reason to call down to the mortuary. This is why I'd rather be down on my ward dealing with idiots making their cauldrons explode on them, but I guess when you overrun the spell damage ward.

Remind me again how good an idea it was to go after Bones without being prepared for say Moody and backup to show up?

October 1st. I really do love the month of October. Even if it does officially put an end to my birthday month. It brings along the crisp fall air and the spooks. Even brought about a full moon.
