I guess we're not going home anytime soon? I...I think I might be okay with that. I kind of like it here. It's quiet. Nothing like Chicago, and no monsters trying to kill us, and I...I feel better than I have in a long while.

I was hoping maybe that I could find some work here, something a few hours a day, maybe as an assistant in an office, or a receptionist somewhere. I'm still...injured, but I'm getting better and I need to contribute somehow.

It's weird. Being behind.

Not knowing everything I should.

It's...scary, too. Not knowing. Scarier than...scary things.

So... I got a job. It's at the day spa in town. I'm just working the counter for now, waiting on people, but they said they could train me to do some other things, if I do well.

Better than fast food.

Thomas! When I'm better, we'll have to go dancing. I've talked to some of the other girls, and we all thought that it might be something fun to do. You'll come, right? Going to a club just wouldn't be the same without you.

So, really, this place isn't half bad, is it? I mean, sure, it's a bit strange to get pulled away from your home like that, but I kind of like it here.

Partially because I've never had a real home of my own before
