So, this is like the videologs I gotta do for Grace, that sort of thing, right?

I've been here a couple days now, and I still don't get a lot of things. I mean I have a house, and it's mine, and that's... I don't get it. My old apartment would have fitted in the bedroom, with room to spare. And I got a garden? Ain't never had one of those before.

And all my stuff's here. From Hell's Gate and Hometree. Kinda weird, seeing them all together.

I like the food here. I like that it comes from plants and animals, it's not whatever the fuck we used to get back on Earth. It wasn't proper food. I went to a grocery store yesterday and I reckon I was there for hours, just looking at everything, it was huge. I like that. I don't get it, but I like it.

Being homesick's kinda shit. Not for Earth, for Hometree.

I am actually enjoying this heat. It is vaguely reminiscent of the dragon caves back home. I wonder if any of the beasts reside in this world. It would be pleasant to encounter something familiar.

I have been unable to locate anything worthwhile on this 'television set' for entertainment. What does one do around here?

I have spent my morning investigating my surroundings. While the recreation of this time period in Earth's history is most convincing, I am not appreciative of practical jokes. Especially those of the Terran Empire.

Unless of course I'm dead, and I've arrived in a very strange form of the after life.
