Well, I've been here a little over a month now. Guess I just thought I'd be home by now.

Hazel here helping me with English. Still hard though. This place nice. Lots of green, I like green. No big buildings. Big buildings scary.

I've been here a couple days now, and I still don't get a lot of things. I mean I have a house, and it's mine, and that's... I don't get it. My old apartment would have fitted in the bedroom, with room to spare. And I got a garden? Ain't never had one of those before.

And all my stuff's here. From Hell's Gate and Hometree. Kinda weird, seeing them all together.

I like the food here. I like that it comes from plants and animals, it's not whatever the fuck we used to get back on Earth. It wasn't proper food. I went to a grocery store yesterday and I reckon I was there for hours, just looking at everything, it was huge. I like that. I don't get it, but I like it.

Being homesick's kinda shit. Not for Earth, for Hometree.

...I can't deal with this right now.

You know, human housing is an interesting thing. It's both so strong and, sometimes, so flawed. I find myself just sort of...waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak.

If I could at least have my TARDIS, just to be in it. I'd be able to sell this house to some poor bugger who isn't quite so paranoid and well, we'd all be a bit happier.

Ain't no way out of this damn town.
