Duo stared at his reflection in the mirror. Only, it wasn’t his reflection he saw. Chestnut hair released from its confines in his usual braid appeared so much darker, the tips dyed golden. A glance at is eyes made them seem hazel rather than violet. I wonder if this is what Solo would look like if he was older...

“Duo, what’s wrong.” His Chinese lover interrupted his musings.

He ran a hand through his loose hair. “I was…thinking. I wonder what Solo would look like if he had survived.”

“We can’t change the past. We must live for the future.”

Zechs never kept mirrors in his house. Once he'd settled down in the wastelands of America's mid-west, he'd torn them all down and replaced them with pictures of Her. Her and the Son he'd never know, because after the rain--

Knock.

Salesmen, realtors, Jehovah's Witnesses; not even they visited him anymore. Still, festering in his own dark pit of despair, he shrieked, "Go away!" Stinking of moonshine and midnight strolls through the rivers of Hell, he liked Lethe the best--

Knock.

"Zechs! Open up!"

Said the raven.

"Dorothy?"

Nevermore.

"Open up, you stupid bastard! I'm not dead!"

Just a ghost.

Title: Eye of the beholder

Author's Note: Discovered fake ‘accents’ are good for cutting down word count! :D... *wonders: is this too vague?*

He ducked under the tap, then just stared at his face in the mirror, till a voice called from the doorway, “What do you see?”
He paused, thinking. “A murderer! Thoughtless, inhuman, something that doesn’t deserve...”
“Stop!” The hand suddenly grasped his shoulder painfully tight. He turned hollow eyes to his companion.
“Know what I see? Someone strong. Willing to give up everything for his friends – for strangers even. Someone I know better than he knows himself.” For once, the manic grin was gone, a gentle smile in its place. “And someone I wanna get to know a LOT better.”

Holy cow!  This became an extremely active community in the course of a week and I love you guys for it!

Who keeps the most secrets?  White Fang!  It seems that they are very secretive with 130 points.  And since secrecy is a secret weapon of the Gundams they grabbed 100 points.  OZ obviously believes that loose lips sink ships.  They keep their secrets under lock and key with 10 points.
