Who: The Village What: Percy Weasley's singing debut! When: Saturday, June 22 - evening Where: The Cafe and Lounge Rating: TBD Status: Incomplete, OPEN
Tonight, at the Cafe & Lounge, Percy will be performing for the first time. There was a poster announcing this in the Cafe, if your character missed Percy's and Astoria's announcements.
The performance has two sets, one at 8:00 pm and a second at 10:00 pm... both lasting approximately an hour each. There is no cover charge. The music Percy performs is a mix of Wizarding and Muggle songs.
Because Percy is still high on the influence of chocolate, he'll be more chipper and less uptight. His songs are upbeat, to reflect his chocolate coated mood. He accompanies himself on the piano, but otherwise there isn't any other musical accompaniment. The songs he performs are:
First Set
1) Wizarding song - the only Wizarding musical performers I really know from the books are Celestina Warbeck and the Weird Sisters... so pretend these songs are from Wizarding crooners.
4) A song he introduces mischievously as the unofficial song of the Ministry of Magic, Razzle Dazzle (something he would never have sung without being under the influence of chocolate)
5) Dedicated to all the Quidditch players out there - Come Fly With Me
6) Fever, but the Wizarding verison, which gives examples of lovers in the Wizarding World (instead of Romeo & Juliet, Captain Smith & Pocahontas)
9) Let's Fall in Love (except using some Wizarding examples in the lyrics... 'Crups do it, Knarls do it, even dragons as they snarl do it'... stuff like that)
10) Wizarding song
Percy will be back every Saturday and Sunday to perform. During the week, he will be performing evenings Tuesday through Friday at the restaurant, Parking in the Rear, however there, he'll only be playing background, instrumental music on the piano for ambiance while people dine. When he finally recovers from his chocolate high, his songs will be be more varied in tempo.
ETA: Percy is actually a good singer! PLUS! Singing!Percy is canon! Look it up - Goblet of Fire, Ron tells the Gryffindors in the Common Room that Percy sings in the shower. Of course, Ron is comparing Percy's singing to the horrible wailing sound that comes from the Golden Egg in the First Task, but what does Ron know? He has no taste :P
