Lea had been running around the house like a mad woman for the last hour. The loo was clean, the sitting room and kitchen were spotless, and the treats from the bakery were nicely arranged on a plate on the kitchen table. The kettle was on and heating. She expected that Mr Ollivander was the type of person to be perfectly punctual, and she didn't want to leave him waiting for anything. He was doing her a favour by coming to talk to her about her wand. It should have rejected her after she made it do that curse, but it didn't. It still worked the way it did when she was 11.

The item in question was tucked into her boot for safe keeping. Lea paused in the middle of the kitchen and took a deep breath. She was as mentally prepared for this encounter as she could be, and she was prepared to be completely honest and forthcoming with any answers to any questions he might have for her. Now, all she had to do was wait for a knock at the door. That was the hard part.
