MAC planned a special evening for Colin. She arranged for them to spend a night at the inn on 9/4 so she could kiss him right at midnight. She wore this that night. Instead of a fancy dinner, she ordered pizza, wings, and alcohol. She gave him this cute bear along with a new fancy camera. The strap has his name on it.

DRACO hung out with Colin the night of 9/5. He brought a birthday cake, films he knows Colin likes, carry-out from Mikes, and their staple (ice cream and alcohol, thank you). Dennis definitely was invited for movies/food if he wanted (but not privy to the ice cream/alcohol fun). If Colin wanted to go out after Dennis was in bed, Draco would have done whatever he wanted (even roller skating...). ETA: I left out the actual gift, oops. Draco gave Colin this and one of these, but pretend it is all on one chain. His name is engraved on it. He also got this pillow and sugar quills.

ERNIE sent a sweets basket along with film and a photo album. The note says Ernie wants to take Colin to lunch to celebrate at Colin's convenience.

MIKE sent a card. Colin eats free at Mike's for a week.

REMUS sent a tin of biscuits and a gift certificate to Smuggled.

ALBUS sent Colin a drawing of something he'd like (player's choice) and a book detailing all sorts of photography lessons.

BACK TO SCHOOL!

The students are welcomed back to school with a celebratory breakfast. It is a feast similar to that of Hogwarts. Classes are generally relaxed as students and teachers get acquainted (or reacquainted). Students are taught in a "round robin" style with lessons tailored to age and ability. Similarly aged students are grouped together when work is completed in pairs.

DRACO sends her cake shaped flowers as well as this birthstone bracelet. He also liked Cressida's idea so let's say that is planned for sometime this week. He'd try to stop by at some point (he knows the shower is also today).

ALBUS drew/painted a picture of something that would mean something to Astoria (player choice) and also gave her these balloons. He'd try to stop by some point today for a hug.

ERNIE sends her a gift certificate to the clothing shop, several books, and these flowers. He invites her to dinner at her convenience.

ARTHUR sends some items from Smuggled. Think batteries, small toy robots, etc. He thinks they are awesome...

ALBUS: He wants to do something with his mother in honor of the day. If not today, definitely another day. He is thinking a special mother/son flight and lunch/film (his treat). He also gives her a similar gift that he gave to Harry, but with different photographs of him, Jamie, and Lilu growing up. It is a photo album instead of a collage and done like a scrapbook so there are tons of little hand-done decorations that Ginny would like (hopefully).

ERNIE: Ernie would try to catch her in person if he could. He gives her a whistle with her name engraved on it and a gift certificate to the shops in the village.

MIKE: Mike sends a card along with some Quidditch related gear. She eats free for a week at Mike's Corner.

REMUS: Remus would have tried to give his in person too. Ginny gets books, sweets, and a paid weekend for two at the Posy Inn.

SALLY: Sally sends cupcakes and several scented candles.

MAC: Mac sends several outfits because she likes dressing people, but keeps in mind Ginny is not a general fan of heels!

DRACO: Draco sends these flowers and a bottle of wine.

ARTHUR: Arthur found an ipod! And sends it. Because. And plugs. He would have stopped by for hugs too.

DRACO: Draco gives his present after their flight this morning. He gives her these flowers, this Slytherin themed bracelet, this Claddagh plaque, and an invitation to dinner with him at the Beau Mangerie.

ERNIE: Ernie finds her during the day to give his gift. He gives her this spa basket, this birthday bear (complete with biscuits) and a few board games (with a note saying he'll teach her).

MIKE: Mike sends a basket filled with wine/cheese/chocolate. He also sends her favorite pizza charmed to stay fresh until she eats (with a note saying the charm only lasts five days and she should invite him over to share).

REMUS: Remus sends a sweets basket and a few books.

DRACO would have stopped by to see his aunt. He gave her this pretty pearl bracelet with "Aunt Andromeda" etched on adjoining beads. He also gave her a spa weekend for two at the Inn. Auntie gets a hug and kiss!

ERNIE stopped by. He gave Andromeda a gift certificate for two to the Beau Managerie and several books.

ALBUS also visited! Andromeda got a hug and a sketch of something she'd like in a pretty hand-made frame.

REMUS also stopped by. Noticing a pattern? He gave his mother-in-law a wine/cheese/chocolate basket and a gift certificate to the beauty salon.

SALLY sent candles, cupcakes, and these earrings.

ALBUS gives his present at the dinner Ginny mentioned (if that is still a thing with Barty showing). He gives his dad a hug and a huge collage of photographs of him, James, and Lilu growing up (courtesy the Genealogist Office). The collage is decorated with hand-made drawings of Harry's favorite things. It is pretty.

REMUS sends a card, a sweets basket, some Quidditch related merchandise, and a video game system with a note that some of the kids introuduced him to it and he thought it might appeal to Harry's inner Gryffindor. Also, an invitation to dinner at Harry's convenience.

ERNIE sends a card and a nice, practical leather wallet.

MIKE sends a card and an invitation to eat free for a week at Mike's Corner.

MAC sends a card and some outfits because she likes dressing people.

ARTHUR sends a small robot toy he found in Smuggled. He thinks it is the greatest gift. He invites him to do something with him and Molly at some point.

DRACO sends a card and a bottle of sparkling cider (I am pretty sure there was a public conversation about Harry not drinking much on a post where Draco commented to Ron about being sorry he sent Ron alcohol for HIS birthday after reading neither were too into it at the moment...if I made that up, it is alcohol because Draco sends a bottle of wine to people he wants to acknowledge, but doesn't feel too familiar with).

SALLY (because of her connection to Lily/James) sends several candles, cupcakes, and a card.

HOPE POTTER will receive the following gifts when everyone is free!

REMUS: Push car, play picnic set, and a stuffed lion.

SALLY: several cute dresses/skirts and this circle play center.

MAC: this outfit and this doll.

ALBUS: baby art center.

DRACO: doll house with doll.

ARTHUR: This made him sort of sad because he misses baby Bill, but he got Hope this from Smuggled (and has no clue what it is from).

With September still over a month away, Draco needed to find ways to occupy his time. The genealogist projects he received helped, but didn't take up as much time as the Peer Mentor position did. Healer Anderson always harped on him to "stay busy" so he was trying. It worked too. The more he forced himself out, the more he found he enjoyed it. The world wasn't as closed off to him as he suspected. He also found helping others made him feel better about himself. He could never right all the past wrongs, but he could lead a better life filled with kinder choices because that was how he wanted it. He wouldn't excuse his past, but he wouldn't remain a prisoner of it either. He only hoped his new liberation would last. He knew he was his own worst enemy, but sometimes it was difficult not getting caught up in wanting acceptance, which was impossible anywhere, but especially in a village suspended in time. Moving on was harder when people popped in from the most inopportune times. Some people understood that better than others.

Fleur was one of those people, which is why he missed her. He understood why she needed alone time, but when she wrote about that myth in her journal, he decided it was time to pop in for a visit. They had discussed visiting anyway, hadn't they? He wasn't going to give her a chance to change her mind so he just showed up where he knew he'd find her. They built the Observatory for the village, but it was still very much their spot. He was glad she enjoyed writing there.

"Oy, quit working so hard. You are making me look bad." He flashed a cheeky grin and held up a basket filled with food.
