Draco was happy that the combined efforts of several friends and family members left him looking like himself before he joined Colin for their planned sleep-over. He was still very confused about the whole hair debacle. The village held intense magic so it seemed reasonable that it could turn him into a Weasley. He liked the family now so it wasn't a bad thing, not really, but he still very much liked being a Malfoy too. It did not matter if Lucius did not know him or that Narcissa remembered a baby. Maybe he could prove he was a very good Malfoy and they would love him as much as they did at home. He could also impress his mother's family. He was determined! Still, it was nice of Molly to say he could be family always. Maybe a back up wasn't so bad? Just in case he made his family very mad. They did blast people off trees.

He was glad Scorpius joined them for ice cream, but was sad to bid him goodbye. It was strange thinking the grown man was his son, but it made Draco happy too. Besides, Scorpius was very good at looking out for Draco. However, soon it was just him, Colin, and Dennis for the night. He was still surprised "other Draco" was best mates with a muggle-born, but the book said so and Colin was nice so Draco went along with it. He wouldn't admit it, but Colin's enthusiasm was sometimes contagious.

"Are we going to watch another film today? I like those." Draco still didn't understand what made films work, but they were fun. He especially liked the movie with the big whale that needed freeing.

Welcome to Winterfest!

Today we're celebrating six months in the village!

Winding throughout the village's market district, from the bridge all the way to the Quidditch pitch, various booths have been set up for all the participants. In a large empty spot, between Brews & Bottoms and the Nightclub, a stage has been set up for various performances, including karaoke, a weapons demonstration, and all sorts of other things. Set up at evenly-spaced checkpoints throughout the line of booths are food and beverage stands. At sunset there will be fireworks, courtesy of the Weasley twins, and some other fun displays. Enjoy!
