Attempts at Teasing
Who: Tayne and Zane
Where: The hotel lobby
When: Late afternoon, about 5ish
Tayne's second trip out wasn't quite as useful as his first. Going back to the scene of the attack had yielded nothing but a need for a quick get-away, since more monsters, this time a trio that resembled something feline, had found and squabbled over the carcass left behind and didn't like the noisy motorcycle approaching their feeding. He stopped a few times to investigate empty houses, but there wasn't anything left for him to take besides a few books for Dhaval and the rare frozen or shrink-wrapped dinner. The biggest find he made was a large tupperware of pasta, which he stuffed into his motorcycle saddlebags and then left behind.
The only real benefit to the trip was to finish his survey of the area. There were a few houses that smelled suspiciously of fresh fruit and tilled earth, but he didn't take the time to do more than mark them down on his map of the city to come back to, later.
At least this time he didn't get rained on.
