Carmel paused in her work out and stretched. She wasn’t breathing too hard yet, though if she upped the work out like she was considering it would definitely become more difficult. She felt mildly discombobulated. She nearly always did her work outs at night when there weren’t terribly many people about; it was also generally when Wu was free to join her. She was doing it early today, though, because she had a feeling she wouldn’t feel up to it after the ball this evening. She needed to go check on food soon, but checking the time, it wasn’t quite time for it yet.

She walked over to the wall where she’d set her towel and the bottle of water she’d grabbed, and she sipped slowly at it, making sure she stayed hydrated.

The decorations had been set up with the help of a ton of people, music was getting played, and there were costumes for everyone. The night was going to be great, hopefully, just what everyone needed. Autumn looked around from the second floor balcony, and smiled, thinking this couldn't be better. It was exactly what she'd wanted it to be.

Zach had found himself talked into going to this ball, deciding it would be informative, at least to watch and maybe he could get closer to Ru. Or someone else. Either way, it was something to do and if the crowd got to be too much, he could always leave. He’d headed to the cafeteria to investigate the costumes. He’d found one that fit him, something suit-like, but old fashioned, like something out of one of his Dickens novels but on his way to find a hat to go with it, he’d been stopped by something else: a set of black wings, menacing, but well made. For some reason it appealed to him, fingers grazing over the feathers.

Kyle stalked up to Autumn, striding across the courtyard, tension and anger clear in his posture. “You tell your girlfriend to keep the hell out of my business,” he snapped at her.

Autumn had been happily decorating right up until that point. Then she blinked, looking at a Kyle who did not look like he was as excited as he'd been that morning on the journals. "...what's going on?" she asked, concerned. She absolutely ignored the fact that he was snapping at her for something that had to do with Mazie, not herself. Obviously Kyle was angry, so her best bet was to figure out what about. "Are you okay?"

Jason wasn't entirely sure about this whole masquerade ball thing, but it had sounded like it could be fun and, most importantly, Reggie had seemed interested in it. So he had headed out to the cafeteria, because apparently, costumes were mandatory.

The problem was, he had no clue what he was doing. He stared at the racks of costumes, not really sure where to start. He had only ever really dressed up for anything a grand total of... six times. Maybe. Only one of those times had he been concerned about what someone else would think about him. And none of them had involved... masks and all. He sighed, rolling his eyes at his own hesitance. This really shouldn't be that difficult; he was making this harder than it needed to be. Knowing that didn't make it any easier though. Crossing his arms across his chest, he began to wander down the rows of costumes, hoping something would catch his eye.

███ D A Y ◊ E I G H T E E N ◊ July 21th ◊ ◊ W E A T H E R ◊ The day dawns cool, though temperatures slowly rise during the day to a pleasant mid seventies by afternoon. The evening is clear and warm. ◊ E V E N T S ◊ The cameras seem to be back to normal, though occasional glitches in the system still have camera feeds popping up on people’s monitors. The cafeteria is full of costumes and masks! All hanging, nicely organised, on rails are a huge range of costumes - all kinds of colours, styles and designs. Whatever anyone may wish for for a masquerade ball, it’s there - and in the correct size too (though there are not multiple sizes of the same design). The quality of all the costumes and the masks is excellent. ◊ C O M M U N I C A T I O N S ◊ Autumn receives a message Dear Ms Morrison We have provided what you have requested, along with a stereo system that is fully portable for future events. The costumes in question are all hanging in the cafeteria, and the decorations are in boxes there as well. Have fun.
