The first year girls waiting outside the classroom were whispering and giggling.
“He is TOTALLY hot!”
“Our professor? No way!”
“Hey, Jackie met him at the gym... said he’s all young and buff and...”
Just then, a young man interrupted. “Good morning,” he said formally, nodding to each of them in turn, “Is this ancient literature?”
They eyed him up. A few years older than them, black hair, slicked back, oriental cast to his bespectacled eyes, slim, but muscular frame under a tight black t-shirt.
“Sure is, sweetie,” said the boldest, flirtatiously.
“Then get inside. I’m your professor, Chang Wufei.”

Wufei clutched his duffle bag closer to his body. He didn’t even know if the person on the other side of the door would forgive him for their relationship’s ugly end.

He knocked on the door. Hearing nothing, Wufei sighed and turned to leave, running into the person he was seeking. “Duo…”

“So you came back, huh?” Duo walked past Wufei, unlocked the door and entered the apartment they had shared.

Wufei followed him inside. “Duo…I need a place to stay.”

Duo looked back with violet eyes that never change. “I told you. The door will always open for you.”

Wufei nailed a hook above the window and hung the wind chimes, satisfied when they swayed with the wind. He moved to the doorway and attached a hook, hanging another wind chime. He walked around the room, clapping his hands in the areas of congested energy.

The wind chimes clanged together when the door swung open. “Wufei? What are you doing in my room?”

“Your chi is low and the energy of your room is stagnant,” Wufei said.

Heero inspected the wind chimes. “Thank you.”

Wufei bowed and moved to the door. “Take care of yourself, for all our sakes.”
