I don't want school to start back up. Winter has been wonderful and it's nice to be home and watch the snow fall outside the window. It makes me want to just stay forever. But we all still need to get our educations. I have been making plans for some of my gardens though come spring break. I want to try my hand at some more advanced herbology plants here to see if I can actually grow them.

Only one more week of freedom and then back to school. Are there anyone having any gatherings or games before we head back? If not, then perhaps I can try to convince my parents to have a party here. I miss seeing everyone and having the free time to do so without homework.

It's only when I'm packing that I realize how many things I have gathered over the years. I have some things that I probably should get rid of, and some that I will donate when I get back home. My trunk is just going to get heavier with the holiday shopping I have to do in Hogsmeade tomorrow. I also rarely realize how many of you I adore, so just to have it on record- even if it doesn't always seem that way and I'm a jackass sometimes, you're all valuable to me and I love you all.

It's already looking to be a packed weekend. I am doing one of my auditions this weekend apparently. I wasn't really expecting it but I suppose it's good. It means I won't have to do all of my tryouts over Christmas, which will be nice since I have to portkey to London for one of them.

This day has been beyond strange and it doesn't seem like I'm the only one going through it either. Magic hasn't worked at all, no matter what I do, I'm just stuck sitting here with nothing. So trying to do homework or play wizard's chess have been a flop as well.

Any muggleborns with suggestions on what to do to pass the time. Also, will professors allow us to turn in our practical magic homework late if this isnt fixed right away?

I'm not even making sense of the nightmares this week. The full moon tomorrow and Halloween - Day of the Dead - this weekend must be distracting Death.

It was skeletons last night, dancing before the nearly full moon. There was a flock of crows in the trees watching. And then the crows joined in and put out the fire, and pecked the moon to pieces.

All Hallows' Eve. A holiday celebrating Witches and Wizards here in America, but it is the Day of the Dead to other cultures. Totally my holiday, clearly. Is it inappropriate to dress up like the guy on the beer bottles? Sam Adams?

So I'm not actually sure how anyone could believe I'm pregnant. I don't think I've gained any weight and I wouldn't have kids while still in school. It's important for me to finish and I'm quite certain that it's important to Atticus that I finish school too. Afterwords we'll talk about kids someday though.

Beyond that though, halloween is coming up quick as can be and since a few people put up some music videos, I felt it would be fun to put up one of my flute rehersal pieces.

I find it disturbing that, in order to explain my skill in arithmancy, someone believes I must be blackmailing the professor. Last time I was supposedly using my sexuality - which of course as a woman is my only skill - to earn my grade. Now it is outright blackmail. Perhaps for having seduced him last month? It is not of course at all reasonable to believe that I could possibly just be good at such a 'difficult' subject as a woman on my own merits.

I shampooed three times this morning and stayed in the shower for thirteen minutes and there is still glitter. And there were only 8 pieces of sausage in my omelet so I couldn't eat it. I was late to Transfigurations because I had to wait for the stairs to change again. In Arithmancy, Professor Stark made a mistake and did four examples in class. The classroom chairs were in four rows.... only two doors... just one window... Even the total is wrong… four plus two plus one is seven. It’s a prime number but not the right one. I checked the wards on my truck three times but something is still not right....

Everything is wrong today.

Today's been a different sort of ridiculous. I swear, I got about three hours of sleep last night and I almost got killed by the stairs. I'm going to need far more sugar quills than I previously anticipated to keep up with this.

Thankfully breakfast had blueberry pancakes, because I don't know how I'd have made it through the first class otherwise.

Alright... Who took my hammer?! I noticed some moldings that were lose around the castle and was going to be the Helpful Hufflepuff and nail them in better. Wouldn't want anyone getting hurt, especially all the animals roaming around here, but no. Some took my hammer! YOU ARE NOT WORTHY TO WIELD MY HAMMER!! Seriously though, I would like it back.

Anyway! In other news, guess who scored a spot in the tryouts for the Fitchburg Finches up in Massachuetts? This guy! They're being held over Christmas break, so we know what I'll be doing and where I'll be doing it. This is awesome. I'm awesome. The whole thing is... AWESOME. Can you tell I'm excited? Professional Quidditch League here I come!
