Acumen's systems tick over to midnight, and somewhere in the depths of the holding facility, dozens of little silver spheres shiver and come to life. They rise up into the air, dangling little bouquets of mistletoe, and hover in waiting for the door to open again. And when it does, they swoop out and work their way into the dome proper, making it out just in time for daybreak.

Now they're scattered all over the dome, Anissina's gifts and Eggman's souvenirs. They're seeking out people to bring together in the holiday spirit...

Whether they like it or not!

Night was falling, the smell of spices were in the air and Jennifer was busy putting the last finishing touches on all the hard work everyone had done to get the athletic complex decked out and festive.

Walking through the front door, you'll see a table where you can put all your presents on for now with a tree sitting behind it. Don't worry, the bots will make sure no one but Jennifer takes any gifts off the table! There's also a series of volunteers ready and willing to help you out of your coats if you need it, but otherwise, please don't hesitate to shed off a few layers.

It might be a little warm if you don't.

Inside the main entrance, Jennifer's taken care to section off the room into the main dancing area and a stage salvaged from the Valentine's Day auction off to the side for the performances later on. Surrounding the outer edges, are tables and settees salvaged from the Shelter so that those who wish to watch can do so in comfort. Do be careful though. Scented candles are lit on each table to provide a soft light to balance out the harshness of the lights over the dance floor.

And of course there's food. Punch and egg-nog and shrimp and cheese and a myriad of other finger foods. There are cookies decorated with frosting and lemon bars and cranberries and a giant bowl of sugared dates. Marzipan is scattered across the table and a small gingerbread house sits as a centerpiece, but the cake is the main attraction.

But the cake comes with a price. Anyone who wants a piece, must do what it says on the toothpick first. Have fun! And no cheating. Someone might be watching to make sure no one does.

Music is already playing and Jennifer's leaving things up to the host club to make sure people start dancing, because what's sadder then a ball with no dancing? Do make sure to enjoy yourselves. It's why we're all here!

As an ooc gift meme was suggested instead of actually threading out every gift exchange, we will be doing that instead, but we highly encourage you to still seek out your gift recipients and build CR in the post as you will.

Also, mistletoe can be found neatly tucked inside wreaths at the main entrance to the Athletic complex and also from the cloak room leading into the dance hall. Be nice! Ask permission first.))

She's carrying a bunch of papers which included some Christmas Carol songs and is trying to accommodate them in order. Waiting for people to come over, she sighs and it is audible in the quiet room, then leaves the papers on said table and stands firmly, taking a deep breath and finally vocalizing a bit for her performance.]

I hope everyone's having a good day today despite the snow and really it's because of the snow that I just can't let this idea go--Ribbons suggested it!--but wouldn't it be nice to have a winter ball?

We'd have punch! And a fireplace! And of course we'd decorate with garland and ribbons and mistletoe and lots of other cheery, wintry things... It's a little late notice but, maybe if we all pitched in we could get something set-up in a few days? I'd hate to let all this snow go to waste!

More importantly, this is quite a trick, isn't it? Ohoho, very well. Attentive ears best be prepared, as I will only say this once: I am impressed. In fact (truly, I must say)--even I as a lady quite modestly difficult to shake--I've been stumped! I didn't expect to find myself out of the house quite just yet today, for one.

[Really, never mind that she doesn't remember having left, appearing outside of the home she and Yuuki had been sharing was an interesting touch. It made her wonder.]

[Brrrr! It was really cold! Ade had never been accustomed to this kind of weather before. Even inside the shelter, the weather was too much for her. Fortunately, she already got a lot of warm clothing (and pretty ones, by the way). Maybe it was luck, but yesterday's events were something that Ade didn't want to ever go through. So embarrassing on her part for crying in front of someone... good thing it wasn't that loud and he couldn't see her. But...]

[ Has heard enough over the network to understand it's not a power outage. It's just him... and a few others who seem to be unable to see.

But Kamui is a stubborn, stubborn vampire, and ventures out of his apartment anyway. He doesn't exactly go far, but he'll be damned if there's something that will keep him from doing what he wants to. He relies on his other senses to tell him when he's about to hit something. Eventually, he finds a light post to stop beside -- the metal is cool against his fingers. He's taken his communicator off and holds it in one hand; it's too difficult to hear what's around him with it on. ]

[Adrianna felt completely odd when she woke up in her room at the shelter: it seemed like she slept for months or longer. Also, she couldn't understand why her body was slightly in pain. Her head was a mess, physically and mentally, placing a hand on her forehead and noticing a big, healed bruise which it hurt a lot. Now, that was something scary: someone did this to her while sleeping, and the only thought made her feel very, very upset. Ade turned on her communicator, not so happy about this.]

[The video shows someone sleeping, a young brunette woman... sitting on the grass, leaning on a tree. She awakens slowly, looking at the grass with blurry eyes at first, but then her head gazes up to the sky. It seemed like the sunlight was hurting her eyes, but she was trying to focus on the place around her. Suddenly, her light blue eyes widen and holds her head with both hands, making a pained expression and whining a little.

Her looks changed a little; very long and straight hair, but still the same features, maybe a bit aged but nothing completely different. She stands up, holding herself with one hand to the tree, still looking at the place which seemed to be a park and walking carefully so she couldn't fall off. Many memories were passing through her mind, totally confusing... the only thing she could mumble was something she wanted to surpress but failed at the attempt to do so.]
