WHO: Remus Lupin & Harry Potter
WHAT: Remus is just going to keep showing up.
WHERE: Harry & Ron's cottage.
WHEN: Notthe full moon Valentine's Day. The 16th? Yes, the 16th.

Remus wouldn't leave Harry alone that first night when Petunia crashed into the village. However, he stayed true to his word and kept quiet while Harry let off steam at the gym that evening. Now he wondered if he made the wrong choice. Remus was no stranger to needing time alone so he was afraid to push too much, but then James got into it with Rodolphus and Harry wrote again and it seemed as good as time as ever to try once more. Remus thought they were getting somewhere, but then Harry thought he was blaming him for something and it was a bloody mess. Remus just wanted to help. There was nothing here preventing it anymore, but now there was a new problem. What was he allowed to say? Do? What did Harry need? What did Harry want? He wasn't Sirius. He wasn't James or Lily. He was just Harry's old professor, really, when it came to it. He was part of the Order. He had been friends with Harry's parents.
They were bitter thoughts and Remus pushed them away as he trudged up the porch steps. He was recovering from the latest full moon so he was still tired. Cold too. In the end, nothing mattered but the fact he loved his best mate's son like family whatever Harry thought of him. He knew Harry was mad and he had a right to be. They all let him down when he was only a small child.
