Eff Those Monsters!

WHO: Mike Corner, Merlin, & anyone 17+
WHAT: Eff demons, time for a little fun.
WHERE: By the lake.
WHEN: Tuesday 8 p.m. until laaaaate!
RATING: PG
NOTE: IC only please.

Mike told several people that he wanted a "I fought a demon and won" shirt, but that did not mean the hellish events didn't take a toll on him. Like others, he too remembered the Final Battle at Hogwarts. Going through a bloody war again had not been part of Mike's plans. Hell, the village was not in his plans, but no one got through life without a few hiccups. Still, the last week didn't just remind Mike of the war. No, the Wizarding War involved a man who used dark magic for evil. The Village War? What the bloody hell was that? Mike told himself it didn't matter. They defeated the damn thing. It was how he blocked out the memories of Alecto torturing him all those years ago. He boxed it up and pushed it deep down inside him. Of course, blocking dark memories was easier when alcohol was involved.

He spent the majority of the day scouring the town for booze. It was no easy feat considering the damage, but Mike saw the cans and bottles he found as a reward for cleaning up the blasted rubble, glass, dirt, and whatever the fuck else was around. By the end of the afternoon, he had a nice variety of drinks he used magic to duplicate, mix, and replenish. Mike Corner succeeded in NEWT potions for a reason!

He was reluctant to leave his brewing and mixing so when he noticed Merlin was only a few feet away, he seized the opportunity. He didn't know him too well, but Mike thought Merlin seemed like someone who was up for a party. "Hey, Merlin!" He called. Other villagers might have fawned over the medieval crew, but Mike saw them as just people. Some he liked, some he didn't. Who cared if they were from the past? Did everyone like all the future kids just because they were from the bloody future? No, Mike didn't think so. However, he thought Merlin might be up his alley. "I think it is time for a party, what do you say, mate?"

Eff the monsters! Under 17 version!

WHO: Albus Potter, Anthony Goldstein, Arianna Dumbledore, and ANYONE 17 or under.
WHAT: The kids deserve a party too.
WHERE: Across the lake from Mike's party.
WHEN: Tuesday 8 p.m. until laaaaate!
RATING: PG
NOTES: IC only please. Also, if your character is 17, he/she can attend either party OR pop in at both. Also, Molly I, let me know if you don't like the bit I added. :)

Albus wasn't really in a partying mood, but he did like the idea of cheering people up. Even if he wasn't feeling particularly happy lately, he still didn't like to see others hurting. He knew sometimes those feelings couldn't be helped, but that didn't mean he couldn't at least try to lift some spirits. Heck, maybe even Al would feel better if he got away from the vaults and Burrow for a bit. When he heard Merlin and Mike were planning a booze soaked party, he decided he'd do something for his own group of friends. Due to his age, Al wasn't blocked from the M&M party, but he knew he'd have more fun with his mates from school. Besides, he didn't like alcohol. He tried it a few times, even getting drunk once, but he simply hated the taste. He thought he needed it to be "cool", but now? Albus Severus Potter was starting to embrace that which made him different. His parents, the ones at home, always taught him to be proud of who he was so Al was trying to embrace that lesson now. It wasn't easy for the young man who naturally wanted to please everyone and make everyone happy, even at the expense of his own needs and wants, but he was trying. It was all he could do in a village where next to no one even remembered his birth.

He rounded up some food and drinks thanks to his Nana Molly and sent word to everyone seventeen or under, including the newest arrival, Anthony.

"Will someone help me with the fire?" He asked after he set the snack filled cooler down. He heard the rumble of chatter and giggles from the other side of the lake, but didn't care. They'd have a good time too.
