Now that I've been given some insight on how to use this thing and am not necessarily on the brink of death, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Erwin Smith. Some of you may already know my comrade, Levi, but he can be a bit of a recluse so I would not be surprised if he did not know many people yet.

In my home, I was am a commander of a military branch designated to survey the unknown world and protect people from creatures called Titans. Not very pleasant. I'm happy to learn more about each of you whom are here.

After what we experienced in the past few days, I had reason to believe this was more interference from our surroundings. But, as it turns out, no one else seems to be struggling with the specific issue at hand.
