If anyone's curious about what fish you may find when casting a line or throwing a net - the answer is all kinds. I've caught a good deal of salmon to make lox for tomorrow but also a piranha or two, and no, I'm not joking.
I figure the best option for the rest of the bounty can be put into a stew. My next effort will be to catch lobsters and I may be willing to part with the fresh ones, should we strike a deal, if any of you romancers have someone in mind to woo with a fancy dinner.

Anyone experienced in the construction of gingerbread houses? Do I need blueprints. A building permit? What sort of icing is best used for caulking.

It's kind of weird to think that Hanukkah starts in less than two weeks. Not that it matters, I guess? I'm not hugely religious these days anyway, and maybe I never really have been. But I guess I could compare it to Christmas, in terms of celebration style. Or skipping Christmas in this case.
