What does one update on this thing? I see many of you blathering about different things here in the hotel. I suppose that's interesting enough. Is that the point of social?

What's new? Nothing much. Still stuck here. At the very least, I have my magic, and some do not automatically hear my name and cringe.

I am really, really tired of all these damned rats. I miss the beach.

With so many groups and activities popping up, Sabrina and I were discussing the possibility of having a magical group. I wasn't picturing meetings to sit around and drink, but a set space for all of us to go, research together, or practice magic together.

I know many of us have been researching ways to make life here better and/or ways to go home, but our magic is very different and it might be easier if we have a place where we can talk and compare notes, study together, etc.

Bloody hell this place is ridiculous.

I should have realized that a form of communication technology that quite nearly rivals magic in terms of cleverness would be used for nothing but whinging.

To think, I took the time to learn it.

A small, beautifully wrapped package charmed to be only opened by Draco was left by his door in the early morning. Inside Draco will find some of the chocolate he had leftover from Candy Land, and a small jade statue of a snake. There is a note that says:

Happy Birthday, Draco.

I think you'll enjoy this chocolate, and I'll tell you all about where I sourced it from at lunch. I found this little statue in a drawer in my desk and wanted you to have it. I had a friend charm it to grow warm if there is someone with ill intent around you. You have to tell it to turn on by saying Acies while holding it. Think of it as a little added protection if you ever need it.
