A whole horde of perfect Logurt moments.
I know the week is over, but I was away while it happened! It's not fair! So, here's a little celebration of a friendship Marvel doesn't give a damn about these days:

Superman has put Superboy though a Virtual Reality tour of Krypton's history, up to it exploding. Basically, Superman wants Superboy to spy on Cadmus, which Superboy isn't very comfortable with. After all, Cadmus is his home.

One Perfect Moment (times three): The Authority
OK, I'm very late to the party, but I feel utterly justified in posting this (and making it so big) because, unless I'm mistaken, no one has posted any Authority bits yet. My opinion of Warren Ellis' work, particularly some of his later stuff, is mixed, but I think that his original Authority run with Bryan Hitch has him at the top of his game, and each of the three arcs has a Perfect Moment. (Big images follow. Apologies in advance for poor image quality and/or any fubars; first time posting this sort of thing to IJ.)

A perfect moment: Inspector Runge
Okay, so you have an wrongfully accused man chasing a guilty one. You need a cop to chase the innocent one, too, right? Monster provides us with a rather creepy one named Runge (Lunge in some translations and the anime).

Runge has two defining characteristics. The first, is that he has an odd mnemonic device to store information. Basically, he types the information on the air, and it's stored in the computer in his head. Then simply make the appropriate gestures, and the information is retrieved. This is both very creepy and oddly cool, and the almost robotic nature of those gestures highlights his second defining characteristic: he is one of the most single-minded people in all of fiction. This is the trait we'll be examining in our perfect moment.

Three perfect moments by Grant Morrison
Now I am a great fan of the Justice League established by Grant Morrison, or the League of Gods as it often referred to, and there are so many awesome moments during the first three runs of the big creators, so it felt natural to post one of those moments, as others have already been shown. These are from Morrison's Ultramarines arc and highlight Plastic Man, Superman and of course, Batman.

One Perfect Moment: Spirou & Fantasio
My first post here, although I've been following the community on and off for quite a while. But I couldn't let One Perfect Moment pass by without one of my very favorite teams, Spirou and Fantasio.

A lot of folks in North America have never heard of this series, even though it's been running since the 1930's over in France, and it's a total shame. European comics are fantastic, but hardly anyone scanlates them (does anyone, come to that?) because everyone and their little dog Toto is busy scanning manga to deal with a bit of French. Anyhow, the action is clear enough to know what's going on, so it's still easy enough for us anglophones to follow.

In any case, by way of setup, Spirou is an adventurer/reporter (and former bellhop, who retains elements of his original uniform) who lives with his best friend (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) Fantasio, who's similarly an adventurer/reporter. Spirou tends toward the strong sense of justice and heroism, and is also a well-trained fighter in his own right. Fantasio, by contrast, is much wackier and fun-loving, and is able to pull off rather impressive feats under duress, such as crossing a river by using crocodiles as stepping-stones, and so forth. The third member of the team is Spip, Spirou's pet squirrel, who has rather cynical thought bubbles and seems aware of the narrator, although he gets on well with our two heroes (who I'm convinced are way more than "just friends").

One perfect moment: Optimus Prime
Hey there. First post on the new SD. JUst wanted to get this one in before the week is over.

From "Transformers: Stormbringer #4" by Simon Furman and Don Figueroa. Thunderwing, a massive robot gone crazy after experimenting on himself with a bio-grafting techinque, is rampaging on Cybertron and the Decepticons are this close to just blow up the whole planet just to be done with it. Enter OP:

One Perfect Moment: Nightwing!Jason.
From 52 - World War III Part One: A Call to Arms, this is possibly the best insight into Jason's tenure as Nightwing. Violent, insightful but still maniacal.

One perfect moment: Roberto
Behind every great criminal genius is a tough as nails enforcer, fanatically loyal, murderously tough, and just plain deadly to encounter. Monster gives us Roberto in this role.

And if that's not enough to draw you in: slash!

One Perfect Moment: Darkseid
Having seen a lot of villainous perfect moments, I've noticed a common trend. A lot of bad guys talk about how evil they are. Green Goblin plays around with a Gwen Stacy doll. The Joker teases Babs. Etc, etc. But when you're really evil. I mean, when you're dag-nasty bad? You don't have to advertise.

One Perfect Moment - Buster Witwicky
"Who?" do I hear you ask?

Well, Buster Witwicky was the human sidekick of the Transformers, back in the Gen1 Marvel Comics era.
