Heehee Cat and Supergirl's interactions are always funny.

Though how Supergirl acted here was a bit odd since she never seemed like this anywhere else.

Perhaps she's never stood close enough to someone who has them to examine them closely? I mean considering how well endowed most of heroes are naturally, she'd probably think that most earth women have naturally large bust sizes. XD

Considering how many women have implants, it seems faux-naive. She's been on earth for a while now.

Uggh. I hate what they've done to poor Cat Grant. At some point, I'm going to have to post some scans of her from the eighties, just to remind people of what she's supposed to be like.

They seem to have reduced her to one dimensional bitch, instead of hard ass reporter, yeah.

Why on earth did Cat grab Supergirl's cape? (Heh.) Is she supposed to be pissed off that... Supergirl called her "ma'am"? Because... she thinks it makes her sound old? Maybe I've been living in the South too long, because it would never have occurred to me to take it that way- but doesn't everyone expect the S-people to be extra polite anyway?

Oh hoh trust me, "ma'am" can be taken as an insult. There's a sense that "ma'am" is for the over forty set. Some women would rather be called "miss" or "Ms." so that they don't seem old.

Not around here that I've noticed; hell, people call me ma'am, and I can't legally drink. But I'll make a note of that for next time I visit wherever Metropolis is. (Kansas or the East Coast? I can never keep track.)

Which is funny, because down here, if I don't call my coaches "Ma'am" (one of whom is 26) they make me run. It's considered disrepectful to not use it for a person in a position of authority over you. I use it for my teachers, mom, coaches, and most adult women. And I've been called Ma'am by sales people, even though I'm only 16...

In my (East Coast USA) experience, I transitioned from Miss to Ma'am at about 30. (Though for some reason I still get Miss if I'm wearing my hair in pigtails.) I found the first few Ma'am's jarring, but I was never offended about it.

I never used miss for anyone adult, or even close. It was always ma'am if I didn't know their name.
