[ Greed’s bar seems to have been awarded its first bum, if looks can be anything to go by. The man drifts by the entrance, casually looking it up and down, his hands stuffed deep inside of his hoodie. His head is covered by a knit beanie, the only evidence of his face just a tuft of stubble. ]

[ A voice breaks through the Marina main broadcasting feed, casual even if his lips are hinting at a smirk ]

So what time does Happy Hour begin on induction day? I feel like there’s a missed opportunity for the proprietor here.

[ There's two reasons for being her: One, he needs a stiff drink, and besides this bar there is another club where there's something wholly unhuman serving the liquor. Two, a bar is a decent social scene. Perhaps he can get some answers as to what is going on and, this early, it's less likely that people are drunk quite yet. Maybe. God, is this place for real? He's been in some very strange situations before, but this definitely takes the cake. If he was ready to be thrown into prison before, this has shaken his views a little. ]

And yeah, that was an invitation for anyone else wanting to get an early start. Or for anyone wanting to come actually tend the bar. Much appreciated.

(( OOC: If your character recognizes Nick, please refrain from telling him Maya is still here. Edgeworth is ok because I don't think he'd be so discouraged from drinking if he found his former rival was out there. He got up a little later than Maya's broadcast - maybe you did as well? PS, he could be at the club if you'd rather be there. ))

Oh my... [There is a plant girl in the park, kneeling in a patch of flowers and gently running her hands over them] The plants here have grown different...I cannot imagine that such a time has passed to let them grow so much. It feels like none has passed at all...yet the trees are welcoming me again.

[She carefully gets to her feet and brushes her dress off] I suppose I must have been lost then. Would someone be willing to tell me what day it is?

[And in the meanwhile, she's going to go say hello to Ammy's tree. It is blooming beautifully, and it is as peaceful as ever]

[Some fumbling. Some quiet cursing, and the feed clicks on fully.]

[Have a shot of Rider's right shoulder and hands.]

I do not think I am using this device correctly.

I will learn in time, I suppose.

[She pauses to gather her thoughts, and shuffles the camera view around a little bit more. Have a shot of her forehead and hair this time.]

But I have two questions for all that can hear this: one, how may I speak with the person who imprisoned me here? And two...has anyone by the last name of Matou been seen in this facility?

((OOC: this is so I don't end up forgetting. I'll get to replies sloooooowly as finals are...ending sooner than I thought. /derps into infinity/))

Tyen shiao duh... [The curse is harried and tense, as is Mal at the moment not only because he isn't where he thinks he should be, but also because he obviously doesn't have control over the situation at hand. The video feed shows him restrained in a cell. There isn't a fiber of his being that even kind of likes this.]

What kind of Alliance fei hua is this? [Because by his way of thinking this is obviously the Alliance's doing. That's what governments do, right? They interfere where they shouldn't be interfering? Yep, Alliance. And he knows he has to start forming an escape plan no matter what that Acumen voice said.] Anybody wanna tell me what planet the Eloquois Ocean's on?

[A moment of silence before he asks quite angrily and shakes at the chain binding him out of pure aggravation.] And where the hell's my gorram ship!?!?

Excuse me, ah - Marina. My name is Guy Cecil, I'm the attendant of Luke fon Fabre. [He's been awake for a little while and taken the opportunity to gauge the area, deciding it to be of reasonably little harm.] If anyone has seen him or knows where he is, please contact me as soon as possible -

[He's seen something.

The feed clicks off.

A few minutes later, it clicks back on, and his expression is wholly different -- animated instead of calm, excited rather than peaceable. He's also seized one of the drones by the arm attachment and is holding it up, impervious to its minute squirms.
] This is amazing, is everyone seeing this!

[The drone tugs out of his grasp and goes back to picking up trash.

Guy coughs into his hand very pointedly.

--As I was saying previously; anyone who knows of Luke fon Fabre, please contact me immediately regarding his whereabouts.

[The dust surrounding you burns your throat with every breath you manage to take, inhaling the debris from the large building beneath your feet that still came up like smoke from the ashes of a fire. The weight of a weapon at your hand, lifted, targeted. Heavy. Your finger on the trigger, all it would take is to pull it. Pull it and it would end everything.

Yet the gaze that stares back at you is familiar. If you've been in Marina for any period of time, you'd recognize her instantly. Tiny in stature, she doesn't appear to be a threat to anyone but she's likely one of the most dangerous and powerful in the dome. Dressed in a black school uniform, her long brown hair catching the wind occasionally the only movement she makes. The weapon she holds, a scythe that appears larger than she is, is poised to defend herself. Eyes clear. Understanding. Monstrous. Just pull the trigger. Don't think about it. Her gaze never strays, determined to hold your own and not look away. Your hand shakes, unable to gather the strength to pull the trigger.

Don't think about it.

Don't think about it.

And everything suddenly goes black...]

[If you happen to look up at the clouds overhead, you may spot a rainbow streak dashing through them. Two clouds are already spinning around like tops, and another few have holes in them from her flying through them at speed. She's currently weaving through another set like a pro]

Now this is what I'm talking about! [Ignoring the fact she's not talking to anyone in particular! RD is a happy pony. She can finally train properly! And she is going to make the most of today by working her tail off]

((OOC: Feel free to call out to her or use this as a thread-jack mini-event thing))

[Ordering your meal in the Shelter cafeteria? There's a thick purple braid sticking out from behind a the fridge as a bot prepares your meal. Picking up your laundry? There's a flash of round spectacles right where your laundry basket used to be. But don't worry! This lurking figure is not after you -- padding along the corridors, sneaking through doors unless it slams right into her face is Kohran, equipped with a notebook and pen, taking notes, and doodling...]

[Somewhere along the way, she switches the feed on, very curious~]

Oh-- excuse me! Good day Marina! I have a question!

Care to share your experiences with Marina's robots? For a place where we're supposed to spend eternity in, these guys are part of our day-to-day living, so maybe there was a time they made your day, or they made you really mad...?

(( OOC: Kohran's just about everywhere in the Shelter -- the halls of the living quarters, laundry, kitchen, baths, cafeteria, following bots wherever they go! Stumble upon a crazy robot lady? :D ))

[ It’s getting to be later in the evening, and for once, he’s considering sleep. There are no nicotine patches to keep him occupied, and the world right now is dull, dull, dull. He needs something stimulating, and the communicator is right there... Normally, he’s not given to speaking to people unless they have information. This is no exception. ]

[ Those listening to the open feed will hear the dark voice pouring through their headset, smokey and slow with the weight of his dilemma. ]

Good evening, Marina Asylum.

Before you ask, yes, I am one of those new inmates assimilated into the fold by your monotonous overlord. However, I’m not interested in preaching my woes of incarceration. I am comfortable with the charges that have been weighed against me and regret nothing.

My name is Sherlock Holmes.

I’ve spent the day exploring your facilities. Anthrax Island, indeed. However, what I’ve seen of you brings questions to mind, those of which I would like to bring to your attention.

[His voice is soft, inquisitive, and free of any expression of pain. That wound this morning may as well have never happened.]

What is in a name? Sounds. Letters. Identity. Reputation. Expectations. Limits.

Would you rather defend your name or your life? [a pause] Provided you had the skills in which to do so.

[He wonders if Sasuke is awake now, listening.]

{OOC: He is hiding away cauterizing licking his wounds in private so Kitty certain people won't find him.}

[He wouldn't call it lurking exactly, it's just... waiting, within sight of the dojo, wondering if Saya will show up there with any of the people who offered their help. Diva will want to know her sister is... well.]

[And anyway, do lurkers usually look so peaceful and content? He'd be more than glad to entertain some conversation. After all, it's a lovely day. He passes the time carving at a half-sculpted block of wood with his dagger; a bearbee he'd told Suzaku he'd make Euphemia. It's coming along well enough.]
03 May 2011 at 12:38 pm
[The robots coming in after breakfast to clear away her overnight things from the guest room have made it perfectly clear that she isn't just back at Zelman's house. Allen frowns at them as they go, but he doesn't make a move to stop them.

...These last twenty-four hours. He wants a do-over.

He gathers up his books and heads into the living room, switching on his communicator.]

I was going to ask Miss Saki if she's any good with math, but it would seem she isn't here any longer. [mildly, but with just that small added touch of formality that had been worn away before]

So is there anyone who might be able to help me study? It turns out I'm not any good at it despite all that card counting and debt management... [sigh. apparently he's only good at practical math!] And don't start with me, Naoya, I'm just seeking out tutoring, it's perfectly legitimate.

[Aerith is kneeling when the video turns on. She looks confused, her brow furrowed faintly.]

This...isn't the Temple. [She unclasps her hands and rises, slowly, to her feet.] Hello? [Turning in a circle, she takes in her surroundings bit by bit.] ...Cloud? Did you follow me?

[It seems unlikely that Cloud would have relocated her without her knowing, but how else could this be explained?]

Hmmm... [She notices the device watching her and bends down, picking it up.] My name is Aerith Gainsborough. Can anyone hear me?

Sad thoughts... then put on a smile! )

Good day everyone! I'm Kohran Li and I'm new here! Thank you very much for the welcome basket and this really neat communication device! Wow, how can something so small do so many things...?

[Toggling through the various functions and getting distracted --]

I wonder how this was made...? Who made it? I have to meet them!

[Suddenly enthusiastic and going completely off-topic!]

Oh! Oh! Does anyone know who made this device? I have to know how this communicator's been assembled! It's so marvellous!

(( OOC: For action, you can catch her before her broadcast or do as if you didn't hear it. Apologies in advance for slow-ish tagging, but I'll definitely get back to you guys! o/ ))

[a slightly hesitant, youthful voice]
Hello. If Lelouch vi Britannia or Euphemia li Britannia are listening, I wanted to say thank you for the brochure. It was very informative.

And… [now a bit more hopeful] Master Fransitart, Master Craumpalin… are you here? Miss Europe? [he was afraid to ask after Freckle or Cinnamon – if they were here, they might wish to hide from any others of his world here who may be less friendly toward monsters]
02 May 2011 at 08:49 pm
[It seems he's accidentally turned the video on without realizing, and one can see the teenage boy is quickly taking in his surroundings with frightening intensity. He doesn't seem to be aware of the screen for now, and he thoroughly checks himself over once. No weapons. They were on him just a moment ago.]

I know this is an illusion. [Points out simply, but he seems irked that they're resorting to these sorts of games. When he tries to activate the Sharingan, however--well, his dark eyes widen when nothing happens, and only then does he seem to spot the chain around his leg. This isn't good.]

[His guard is up, and he's ready for an attack. He's currently located in Sector 4, and will be attempting to gain his bearings. Harass him?]
02 May 2011 at 09:49 pm
[She taps the little screen lightly, turning it this way and that as she tries to see these people that the little paper book talked about. Isn't it supposed to let her?]

Um…do I have to say a spell? No, there wasn’t a spell mentioned in the little book thing… Maybe I need to say a name? But I don’t know any names…

Oh! Flynn? Are you here, Flynn? Anybody? I just…I didn’t mean to break any laws! I just wanted to see the lanterns. If I promise never to leave ever again, can I go back? Mother is going to be furious with me. [She looks worried, but her expression becomes a little more determined.]

And you, too, when she finds out you put me in prison! Oh, you won’t like to see her when she’s angry. [An attempt at confidence.] But that can all be avoided if you send me back. I wouldn’t want anyone to get hurt, really.

[Anyone in the park by Ammy's tree will find that leading up into said tree is a very, very, very long river of golden hair. If you look up you might notice the girl sitting on one of the branches, looking very worried.]

{OOC: Putting a cap on Rapunzel! No more new threads, please, unless you absolutely must with a burning need in your soul. And then you can poke me on the contact post on her journal first? This will probably be revoked some time later this week.}

[ so, remember yesterday? someone's clothes got very cold and wet and colorful. the bots did the laundry, but it was pretty obvious while they were doing it that, hey, he has nothing else to wear here. and unlike back home, new clothes are free.

you will find Yuri browsing the racks in the Sector 5 clothing store. he has some shirts draped over one arm, an extremely thoughtful expression on his face, and a pair of bluejeans in his hands.

...zippers are kind of cool. zip! unzip! ]
