As the sun sets on IJ's scans_daily
For my last post before the move, I thought I'd post an Amanda Conner commission I found online (and which isn't mine) which encapsulates much of what has made this place so much fun...

It has Dick Grayson as Robin, it has Spider-Man, it has cute kids, implied violence (and spanking at that!) and the promise of candy... what better image to summarise us? :)

For those moving to DW, see you there! For those who aren't make the jump to DW, thank you for all the fun, the debates, the insights, the arguments and all the glorious, glorious crack!

CHEERS!

Aww, now I'm thinking about the end of Calvin and Hobbes, and I'ma start tearing up. I must go do manly things to absolve this desire to cry, but all I have is pizza and The Super Hero Squad Show.

Best part about that commission, easily, is that Spidey looks confused, almost as if Robin and the kids snuck up on him while he was being emo off a ledge somewhere.

Just out of curiosity, why would anyone NOT make the jump to DW? I'd follow SD anywhere it went! I never post scans and rarely ever comment, but I spend a LOT of time here reading through all the scans and comments. I just don't know why anyone wouldn't want to follow on.

IIRC Some folks have issues with the folks running the site.

For the record, I'm exactly the opposite. I've known her for a long while online (bar the last couple of years), and I trust her and the staff she works with.

Thanks for that, I have no awareness of the ins and outs of the situation, so it's nice to hear that it's not all one sided.

Given the state of legacy comic strips these days, Calvin and Hobbes sledding off into the distance is probably a good thing for them and us.

And the cause of much wailing and grinding of teeth from marketing people and merchandisers the world over.
