07:35 pm [starwolf_oakley] [Link]	NEW TITANS #101: Dick vs. Roy I thought I'd post one of the earliest Dick Grayson vs. Roy Harper fights I know of, and send out a request for other "Dick vs. Roy" brawls. In NEW TITANS #101 (the TEEN had been dropped), Sgt. Steel has contacted Arsenal saying he doesn't want Nightwing in charge of the Titans anymore. Nightwing is still angry over his wedding to Starfire going so wrong and Kori going into a coma. The Best of DC - Blue Ribbon Digest #18 (1981) is a 100 pages-comic full of Teen Titans stories and offers a nice little short story, in which the New Teen Titans team up with their old friends Speedy and Aqualad. Together they go up against some drug smuggler... maybe not as mind-blowing as battling against gods, Brother Blood or Deathstroke, but hey, it's a team up with a classic 1980's 'Don't Do Drugs'-lesson. Gar is a bit busy, though... We know Ollie owes his Green Arrow persona to Bats, but do you know here was a time when Ollie didn't know that Bats was Bruce Wayne? Here from a JLA Giant from 1999 are 3 1/3 pages from a 10 page story that looks back at a time when Ollie got a little, let's say, obsessive with Bruce. 02:21 pm [faile_neume] [Link]	Introducing Lian Harper One page from Tales of the Teen Titans #80 in which Lian Harper was caucasian and had red hair. ( Can we say D'AWWWW ) I also have a question, concerning that image of Batman with an orange(?) chainsaw. I can't find the image but someone here has an icon of it. Does anyone know the context of it? ETA: Thanks to everyone who answered, I knew I could count on s_d! I didn't know chainsaws were appropriate autopsy equipment, but I've been wrong before. In A Day Without Sirens, there are posters up advertising a day without guns, knives, etc. Despite Jim Gordon's complete disbelief, there are 24 hours without a single 911 call and a downtrodden Jim is much cheerier when he meets Batman, who seems quite happy himself. ( 2 scans under the cut ) In It's a Wonderful Night, Dick runs into trouble while trying to hand deliver a special present for Tim. He then discovers Tim with Owen Mercer at a showing of 'It's A Wonderful Life'. ( 2 scans under the cut ) In The Night Before Christmas, the Teen Titans take a christmas break and go hang out. Tim is a bit emo and he and Cassie reflect at Rockerfeller Centre. ( 2 scans under the cut ) In Party Animal, John Stewart (Green Lantern) and Roy Harper (Red Arrow), are late for the Christmas party, which even Batman is attending. They bring Shaggy Man along to give S.T.A.R labs a break, who gets spooked by the singing. Let's face it, you would too. It all ends with a good partying. The Arsenal mini-series ran from October 1998 to January 1999 and was written by Devin Grayson with some pretty bad art by Rick Mays. It features Roy Harper aka Speedy aka Arsenal aka Red Arrow and his Issues. And boy, does he have a lot of them, from "Green Arrow never raised me right" (Ollie had died 3 years earlier in our time, more recently in comics time) to "I used to be a drug addict" to "I don't know where I belong!" and the most important one "I can't find a good babysitter!" But his character evolved a BIT differently in other comics. For example, while Jason in Batman was rude, scowling, kind of a know-it-all, and increasingly violent... in the short time he was on the Teen Titans he wasn't so bad at all! (Donna Troy though?
