06:47 pm [sun_soraya] [Link]	Gar Logan on Space Trek 2022 We didn't have any New Teen Titans stuff recently, and with the scans of Gar Logan's first appearance a few days ago I thought I could dig out the Gar issue from the Tales of the New Teen Titans mini series (1982). Flashbacks of Gar getting sakutia are repeated every now and then, but the TotNTT mini also has a few nice scenes of Gar's tv show Space Trek 2022 plus the Titans sitting around a camp fire being all cute and kind with each other (which I miss these days). I really like the classic enemies of the Teen Titans; besides trying to finish our heroes off, Deathstroke, Brother Blood, Trigon etc. have something else in common: good use of grammar. In New Teen Titans #24 (1982) we meet Lord Damyn, who not only has his own grammar rules, but also a very special humour and sense of beauty. 06:37 pm [hollasa] [Link]	Kory, Raven, Dick, and not too much clothing From the New Teen Titans #39, January 1988 - my formative comics years - comes some fun Edwardo Barretto art. Oh yes, and there's a story too - Raven is able to feel emotions, falls for Dick Grayson, and seems to be trying to make him fall in love with her as well. Kory provides some emotional counselling in Tahiti for her, and while they're away, Dick moves in with Kory. Various relationship talks are had while lying around not fully dressed. 10:55 am [galateus] [Link]	Before Tiny Titans: "When Chibis Attack" It turns out Teen Titans Go! #18 was another installment in DC's love affair with chibi characters. ( The cover: 'Larry joins the Titans!' ) The cover, of course, is a lying liar that lies, because Larry doesn't exactly 'join' anything this issue... ( But he does screw things up, again. ) This issue says June 2005 on the cover, so when was it that DC had a crossover with the Chibi Justice League that Superman dreamt up after he got high on Kryptonite? ~~I'm guessing that one came first.~~ Or not. ETA: Ah, so it dates all the way back to Spyboy/Young Justice. I dug through the tags and found the Superman/Batman: Li'l Leaguers bit actually came after Titans', too. Mightygodking was right: absorbing good ideas from the cartoons is just a proud DC tradition.
