03:07 pm [kali921] [Link]	Atomic Robo vs. Dr. Dinosaur: Meta! Machine guns! Totally metal! You know what we haven't had yet on Scans Daily 2.0? Atomic Robo, that's what. This needs to be remedied, stat! dejadrew's awesome Captain Raptor post earlier this week resulted in the mighty Brian Clevinger, the writer of Atomic Robo, linking me to one of the stories from the Atomic Robo Free Comic Book Day issue. This beautiful gem of a tale is titled "Why Atomic Robo hates Dr. Dinosaur." Yes. You read that right. Dr. Dinosaur. And lo, it was AWESOME. ( DECEPTION! MAMMALIAN DECEPTION! FOUR PAGES OF VISAGE-WRECKING AWESOME! ) You can read this enthralling tale in its entirety right here for free as the gentlemen behind Atomic Robo have thoughtfully posted it on their website. When I got to the last page, I was literally weeping in laughter. This was easily the best thing put out by anyone on FCBD. I really urge anyone who hasn't yet picked up issues of Atomic Robo to give it a try. It tends to sell out quickly, though, so get hopping to your LCS on Wednesdays! In my opinion, it would not work for the majority of the remaining stories--if you have a six page story, for example, only showing two pages would be hard, mainly because I would be recapping most of the story myself and the effect would be lost. That being said, there are still some stories that I was really looking forward to sharing for quite some time that I was saving for the end, so I decided I would post excerpts from them anyway. Most of them are from Creepy, but there's an Eerie and Vampirella hiding around as well. My latest commission - Freddie Williams II Okay, well it's here, and once again, though I might be biased, I think I've really hit the jackpot with my commission! :) Freddie Williams II is, as others have noted, an utter joy to deal with as a commission artist and I can't recommend him strongly enough. When I asked for a Robin and villain piece, he asked if he could use the Joker, and since I couldn't recall ever seeing him do the Joker before, I was interested to see how it went. I suggested a few possibilities as to scenario, and he adored this idea in particular.
