02:03 pm [essaybee] [Link]	Fusion #1 Completed (Links Updated) Over on the old Scans Daily site, I posted a NSFW erotic parody of JLU known as the "Great Scott Saga." (It was composed of 4 parts: "Great Scott," "Fool Me Once . . ." "Birds of a Feather," and "Hell or High Water.") Although I'm still working on "Hell or High Water," I've also started working on an original comic series called Fusion. I posted a 7-page preview of Fusion a few months ago and got lots of good feedback. Well, I've finished the first issue and will post it here. I've corrected a few errors on the first 7 pages and tweaked the text on page 2 slightly since that initial preview post, thanks in part to the comments I've gotten here and on other forums. Now that this first issue is done, I'm gonna work on finishing my NSFW Great Scott Saga and start Issue 2 of Fusion (which is pretty much scripted already). Hope you folks enjoy the comic! In his own words: "Every day I draw a comic strip based on / inspired by / tangentially related to one of that day's trending topics on Twitter. ... I just thought this would be a fun way to do something that I've been meaning to do for a while, which is to draw some comics strips, for fun. ... I may or may not have any idea what the hashtag / trending topic is actually the hell about. I just thought it would be, y'know, a fun thing." I thought I'd share the first one, which I figure will amuse the scans_daily community quite a bit: ( Tell me why! ) Mods: does this count as a scan (because it's a webcomic?) or do I have to provide something for legality? ~~Also, could one of the tag wranglers or whoever's responsible for this sort of thing please change the tag for the artist's name? Done by Gurihiru, a Japanese artist team best known for their work on POWER PACK, it's a very irreverent take on the Marvel Universe, if the characters all lived in the same apartment building. I've translated the title liberally as HEROES OF THE H-MANSION, but as with a lot of things in this project, I've taken a lot more liberties than I deserve. If there's any real groaners in here, I may well have put them in overzealously. 08:57 pm [timemonkey] [Link]	Yet Anouther Fantasy Gamer Comic and my contribution to what I hope will become Butt Shot Week Hello there! I'd like to share with you guys a webcomic I've been following for a while now, Yet Anouther Fantasy Gamer Comic. It's a great comic set in a D&D style fantasy world and focusses around the monsters living in the Black Mountain and the humans/elves/halflings in the nearby areas. It updates daily and is a great mix of humour, action, drama, angst and all those good things. It shifts from one shot joke strips, minor humourous arcs and year spanning stories as the creator sees fit. It's got several great characters from that fabulous orc noblewoman Mrs. Bloodhand, the kinky drow Arachne, irritable 'straight' man half-elven ranger Cadugan, Bob the Beholder with a wandering eye (or four) and many many more. One thing like about the comic is that while it never shys away from nudity it's always done tastefully and is never gratuitous. Plus it's equal opportunity.
