I assume you're tracing that signal. Do you need more power? Equipment?
Hammocks in Central Park might be a no go for security reasons, but how about right here? We've got trees.
We're not staying grounded, are we?
Since there's been so much bad news lately, I thought everyone would like to know that the coffee substitute project is going well enough for taste-testing.
It's time we upgraded our communications range, as well. It's too easy to lose contact, especially with BNU's lockdown.
I couldn't really send a postcard, but hello from New Assyria. It's like one of my old hangouts where I'm working now - minus the gravity and with a few more combines. Rogers, remember that place in Marseilles?
Good place, good people. It reminds me of home in a way. They've got hard workers, and a lot of good musicians. I've got a few people interested in a band. We're exchanging repertoire, their stuff for the classics and mixing the two up a bit. I miss the summer weather a little, so you all had better be taking advantage of it. Even with the cooler climate, it's impressive to see how they made the place livable. I still can't get over everything they've done in this time.

It's not exactly what I thought of when I heard 'Neo-Amish' but people are pretty much people. I've been making some good connections. It's mostly superficial so far, but a couple of other musicians are starting to open up. Nobody likes the sound of how things are heading out there, but a lot of people feel like it's 'out there' and are anxious to keep it that way. I don't blame anyone for being suspicious of outsiders, especially when all the news filtering in says the rest of the system is a mess, but my experience says it doesn't work that way. I haven't been pushing anything, just listening and playing my music.
The incident with the portal doesn't seem to have affected the amber, at least. I'm still not convinced about trying it again, but it isn't preventing discovery of the pods.
And thank you for the donuts, Christina.
It's Anthony's birthday. We could go to the park again? Even if he's not here, I think he'd like it.
I know this is a difficult time for everyone. If there’s anything I can do, please let me know.
That goes doubly for you three. I know Dr. Snow and the others are doing everything they can.
I’m sorI’ll be home soon. How are you doing?
It won’t be immediate, but I have to take a trip in the near future. I need to do some investigating first, and I promise I won’t leave without warning all of you, but Nova is out there somewhere. She needs family.
I don’t want to just disappear on you without warning. I’ll be going out of town soon. I’ll let you know the exact dates.
We haveWhere do we start?
I need a favor.
Spar?
My first Ph.D. was in aerospace engineering. It was always amazing what we could do and where we could go with a little work. We've been able to accomplish major feats, both at home and here. It's easy to get wrapped up in the process but the whole reason the field began was people looking up and wanting to get from here to there. It's worth having an Astronomy Day to remember the reason we do things.
There's stargazing in Central Park. The project is making progress. I think we could take time to go.
Gargleblaster. That’s my password for today. Don’t try it out unless you happen to be a BNU plant. Then, make sure you take video cause I want to watch what happens.
I don’t cook, but I can make breakfast. Picnic brunch on Sunday unless it rains, and then we move inside. Mothers aren’t allowed to work but the rest of you can help.
Addendum after discussion: mothers can pick the drinks.
I am going to be happy when we're back on solid ground.
I do much prefer these uneventful trips into space. It makes a nice change.
Whatever it is that BNU did, they have a large amount of captives. Or at least 28 people all being kept in a small area of the compound on Rhea. Which makes them more likely to be hostages or prisoners of some description.
We obviously were not quite equipped to break them out. So, I'll leave that up to Rose and Aranea to organise.
