In the spirit of sociability or whatever, we’re doing a “friend speed dating” night at the lounge. Like regular speed dating, but probably no one’s getting laid when it’s over. Unless, you know, you’re into being that kind of friends, I don’t know.

Anyway, copious amounts of alcohol and you might get to know some people you haven’t talk d to that much yet, so you should come. October 19th. I mentioned the booze, right?

Feel up to doing a little taste testing for me tonight?

For those of you who haven't met me, yet, hey. I'm Hayley Marshall and I work in the lounge and kind of help organize some social events. This Saturday night we'll be hosting a Throwback Saturday event - get dolled up in the style of your favorite decade for discounts on drinks. We'll be having a contest to judge the best outfits, some themed specials and plenty of music from a few different periods.

So, I won the "Choice of New Drink at the Lounge" prize in the raffle at the dance party. And, I've been wracking my brain for weeks. Which considering my drink repertoire normally consists of whisky and whatever weird concoction Keeser of Jim decide I have to drink that night, I'm stumped.

So, is there a drink anyone else would like to see in the Lounge?

It's nothing as elaborate as the other day, of course, but Elijah and I are grilling out by the pool in honor of Labor Day. Come on our for swimming, food, whatever. We'll have plenty of food for everyone.

I think I managed to find a good variety of music, but if you have any requests, feel free to bring your own along, too.

Labor Day cookout, right?

If not, we should do something.

I have questions. First, how is Mr. Well-dressed doing? Second, who is Miles and why haven't I met him sooner?

All right, here's a holiday I can get behind: National Lemonade Day.

What do you say?

I've been told I ought to give American tea more of a try. According to my calendar it's National Iced Tea Day, so I suppose this would be the time for it.

We've cleared the first round of hurdles on building permits for the retreat. It was just a matter of renewing them since the old project received approval before being scrapped, which eases our way considerably. With Laurel gone

Our top possibilities so far:
  • Steam Hollow RdThere's an eleven acre parcel outside of Ellenville west southwest of Kingston. It's between the state and national forests and has multiple streams and woods of its own, along with the remnants of old foundations and a well.
  • Berme Rd, Lot 2 Twelve and a half acres with a creek and trails. It's less isolated than the first, but has electricity and some rocky areas that could be useful defensively. Lot 1 is also available, but is quite a bit smaller. Purchasing both along with the next might be a good idea, particularly if the purchases can be handled under separate holdings.
  • Berme Rd Larger, but crosses the road. It's similar. Three acres on one side of the road has the creek, the other twelve is drier. Again, purchasing these together might be worthwhile.
  • Trinity Way This is the closest to Kingston itself, 13.9 wooded acres with a pond. It is the high point in the area with rocky outcroppings similar to the Berme parcels.

I lean towards Steam Hollow, partly for the location and partly for the well. It would be nice not to have to dig our own, but we can if we decide on one of the other properties. If we have any refugee pilots not yet on missions, it would be worth doing a flyover of our finalists.

I also want to recommend Sydney Sage for an intelligence analyst, if she hasn't already been pegged for something else. I understand you know her better Rose, but from what I've gotten to know of her so far, she certainly seems suited for it.

This is [...] well I don't think it can be a dream because I don't think my imagination is this elaborate. One the one hand it did get me out of a ridiculously early morning practice. On the other hand, well, I'm not quite sure what to make of all this. Steady breath

I guess intros would be a good start. Hi, I'm Katie.

I have to say, the Shrimp Festival was really interesting yesterday. It did make me miss the food at home in New Orleans though.

There was one truck that came close to a good po'boy.
