The rest of you can go on complaining about the weather, but for me it just feels strange to not be in New Orleans around Carnival season. This is going to be the first Mardi Gras I’m not spending in New Orleans in years now. Even if we plan to celebrate here, it’s not going to be the same. It’s funny the things that make you homesick.

Have you been there? The New Orleans of this time or world or whatever? I’d be curious to see what it’s like now.

I don't normally make New Years Resolutions because keeping them lasts about a week. This year is seems that I'm two weeks late in even thinking about them. However I did actually make one but I'm going to call it more of a goal than a resolution.

I will go the gym at least twice a week. I don't know what I'll do when I get there but I will at least go. And that starts today so if anyone wants to join me after work, that is where I'll be.

I'll also actually do more than just stare at the equipment which is what I find myself doing a lot of times. Staring at it and then leaving.

I don't remember any recent near death experiences, so I can only assume the multiverse is being fickle again. What year is it again?

I have been listening to the Nutcracker Suite, and Tchaikovsky is a gift! It is an utter, utter shame that he didn't compose in Twelve-A. I understand there's a likely to be a performance this month. Will anyone be attending?

Well, I have absolutely no idea what to get my secret Santa person, but that is the fun of it right? Coming up with something random to give someone?

I can't believe that it's almost Thanksgiving. Seems like time goes by faster every year. I guess that means I am getting old. Which I'd rather not think about.

So what are you two going to do for Thanksgiving. Besides drink, I mean? Rose is putting together something along with the Pevensies it looks like. Pretty sure if I'm invited, you're invited. You can drink and watch football there as well as you can at home.

Now that our patients are all stable, I suggest a night off. Dinner or drinks as a team, maybe. I'll even buy the first round.

It's good to be back. I probably should have posted this about a week ago but I was busy catching up on work things. It's been a while since I've been so far from home and I didn't realize how much I missed it. There's nothing quite like it, is there?

In other news, the party Saturday night was good times.
