To Ryugu-jo and the other regions of Zurvan:

It is my greatest displeasure to have to confirm all rumours of the betrayal of Princess Sigyn, the eldest princess of my region. She has done something that none of us in Ryugu-jo would have thought her capable of in all the years we have known and trusted her. We had a visitor from Camelot a few weeks ago, one who was not an ambassador but still a trusted representative of the Camelot regime. His name is Heimdall. We let him in good faith, we offered the comforts of our home and were to hear him out on what he came to inform us.

And he took one look at our society, spat on it and went after the princess who was engaged to one of our own. To have someone taken from us is insult enough. But for her to go along with it with a clear mind means it damns her as an accomplice to his crime. She is an undesirable now, no longer fit to be looked upon with respect or admiration. Upon apprehension, she will be officially stripped of her title and will be tried for betrayal and failing in her duties. We are disciplined people, something the princess clearly failed to grasp or understand. She holds no respect for her family, her people or duty. No respect for herself either and no care for what will happen while she is selfishly involving herself in some feeling she believes is real and was born within a mere couple of weeks.

The man will also be tried, on our soil and under our rules. Camelotian or not, we are the injured party and we will be the ones to judge him. Camelot have agreed to this, understanding that one man who chose to behave so badly on their behalf is not worth the lives of many innocents, should not be worth the ruin of what they have worked so hard to maintain. We acknowledge their wisdom in this and were very pleased that they understand the extent of our injury.

I will very clearly say this now to my people: commit a crime in another region and expect to pay the price on their soil. However furious I am, I am not seeking to make exceptions here. You will behave, you will represent your region whenever you visit another and you will not shame us as she has. If I hear of a crime committed by one of us in another region, you will be deported to be held accountable in that region.

Though we have long been an area that is self-sustained and prefers no outsider involvement in our affairs, to maintain this sort of lifestyle we must bend some to be sure we receive aid when we must punish those who dare to behave as if they know better. As if our ways are some how unfit. This is not their place to decide and never will be. People of other regions, your own rulers can only instruct you in your behaviour but I would like to think they would agree with me here that you should not aid these two for what they have done. No one should want trouble for the sake of two extremely selfish and foolish people.

Finally, there will be a hefty reward to the ones who lead up to their capture. We know how to be generous when we must be and money would not be the only gift we would offer. Our interest is for them to be captured alive.

I've named my rabbit Ursula for no other reason other than I enjoy the name.

[He and Aubrey had only met briefly and at random after the odd things had started. Cù Sìth didn't like those odd things either. It made it very hard to work (and play tricks on the children that came in). He had to use all his focus on behaving, on not getting distracted. Was it distractions that made these things happen? He couldn't quite figure it out but not letting things get to him and behaving monotonously help.

Until, hours after he had met with Aubrey, he found himself somewhere very dark. It wasn't cramped at all, a rather spacious walk-in, but it did smell a lot like shoes from where he was sitting. Contrary to what some might thing, he didn't want to chew them up. A hound he had been but he was a human now. He had some limits. But he did kind of want to bury them. Tie them up at random if he could. Pull some of the laces out as well.

And with that in mind, he got to work, uncaring of how he got there for now or even whose closet it was.

When weird stuff happened, the best response was to hang out with someone who was just as weird- namely CuCu. Not that Aubrey knew that he was Cu Sith, but whatever. Details, small details that didn't matter for now. The fact is they had been playing when Aubrey had decided shoving Cu Sith was a good idea- the next moment the hound had vanished and she had begun shrieking bloody murder all the way back to her place.

In fact she was close to hyperventilating. Who to call? Jim? Her father? She had just made someone disappear into thin air- that was basically murder, wasn't it? Oh god it was. She took a deep breath and called 911. "Hello? I would like to report a missing person-"

While it started coherent it dissolved into hysterical rambling and shrieking... that could easily be heard from inside her closet.

In the midst of tying a boot to the inside of a jacket, he paused to listen to that noise, curious of why it was happening. It didn't sound familiar at first, him being unused to Aubrey sounding so genuinely panicked. But as he listened, it did sink in. Before doing anything else, he finished what he was doing and then moved to nudge open the closet door.

"Stop being so loud."

And it was one of those moments that should've been video recorded and sent to America's Top 10 videos. Aubrey started, too startled and then she shrieked and threw the phone at him (the phone that turned into a duck as it left her hand).

Feathers, shoes, and swearing like no-tomorrow. It was a special moment.

There had been something beautiful about her aim. He saw it coming but it was coming in too fast and it struck him right between the eyes. He yelped and clasped both hands over his face while stepping right back into the closet. Karma had been waiting for him with one of Aubrey's nicer boots right behind one foot. And backwards he went, down on a pile of heels.

His death in Zurvan wasn't the most painful death he has experienced but it might be one of the most unnatural. It was not a death that took. It disgusts him that nothing is sacred, not even death. Not even the long, cold sleep.

When he is returned to New York, he learns that his business ventures have proceeded unimpeded. That he has hired and fired two personal assistants. The latest, number three, wears too-short skirts and he fires her, too, having had his way with her over his desk.

It is too easy for him to sleep into his old ways of want-and-take-and-have. These first few days, he is purely selfish. He lives for the sake of living and for the sake of feeling. Nails scraping down his back, rough callused hands, drinking champagne from clever mouths. He needs these things to restore himself. He is a careful man, as a rule, but there are precautions not taken; he is the Father of Gods and Men. What is another bastard child or two?

Finally, emerging from some kind of cocoon of slumber and beautiful women, in a penthouse suite in Boston, he showers and he returns to New York. He is Zeus. He will not be beaten by a fake death (though all the subsequent little deaths have not helped in the least.)

It is time for bravado. It is time to wear the face of Zeus and the substance of Zeus will surely seep back into his veins. He will not be overcome.]
