I've been doing a lot of thinking, but when I do a lot of thinking, nothing really good comes out of it. But I've been thinking... about bringing up the topic of kids. With Kokabiel. It's been on the brain for weeks now, but I haven't dropped hints because I'd rather come out with it to his face.

Thoughts? Opinions? Advice on if this is a terrible, horrible idea that shouldn't happen because our spawn will take over Babylon but will be disgustingly adorable because my husband is attractive and attractive people don't have ugly children but I'd still love them even if they were ugly but they probably won't be ugly?

I am afraid I'm coming down with something. My throat has been behaving rather strangely as of late. But I won't allow it to get in the way of using my voice. What is a songbird without its song?

Exciting things have been happening in my house. Well, exciting if you count bribing a child to stop asking certain questions to be worth noting... and yes, in case anyone is wondering, a kitten is a perfect bribe for a seven year old boy. He's quite thrilled with his new responsibility -- now known as 'Mini Mew', because he gets his penchant for naming things from his mother -- and has decided that he's going to own a kitten farm when he grows up.

Now if I could just get him to pay attention during his flute lessons, I'd have a perfect child. Although, he has been getting better. Soon, he'll be old enough to stay awake for our shows, and then maybe he can even show off a bit. That reminds me, I should practice a little more for tonight. I've got a new piece I'll be trying out that I hope goes over well. We'll have to see.

[When Euterpe dreamed, her dreams had a soundtrack. Music was that much a part of her life, and nothing -- not even Khaos herself -- could seem to change that about her. This time, this place, it was no different -- as she slept a song filled her head like it did every morning, except this time it was chosen by the events around her.

Like it or not, Euterpe was nervous. Sure, Merlin said he'd buy her, but that still meant she'd have to fight. And as a muse, she wasn't much of a fighter. What she needed right now was some good, old-fashioned inspiration -- as a muse she inspired others, but nothing said that couldn't work on herself as well -- and amusingly enough her subconscious must have known that. Why else would she wake up with the training sequence from Mulan stuck in her head, song and all? Clearly, these were words to take to heart, and if anyone noticed Euterpe's training improving little by little and her singing under her breath, then more power to them.]

I got a phone call from my father. My mother broke her leg while they were on holiday in Australia. She'll be in hospital for a few more days but it delays their return home for at least six weeks.

Of course I'm worried about her but - they waited four days before telling me. I know I wasn't an afterthought, if I was their only thought but I miss my mother (I miss Iseult of Ireland).

I'm kidding, darlings. But who of you had the beginnings of a heart attack and who thought 'oh that poor unborn child'? I always like to know what to count with.

What did I miss?

Operation: Find New Apartment has hit a snag. Apparently, I got really lucky when I got my current place, because everywhere I look people are asking for references. While I have no idea what kind of questions someone would ask one of these so-called references ('does she keep a clean place, pay her rent on time?') I can't think of anyone to ask to help me out.

Guess that's one of the few problems with trying to stay mysterious keeping to oneself. Ah well, in the meantime my neighbor got arrested, so it's been quieter around here. Guess that's one thing in my favor.

Thanks to that party last Sunday, I can officially proclaim I was somewhere with bells on. Well, bells, chimes, and fishing wire, but still! I can cross that off my personal bucket list. Also, I'm finding that if I took the plunge and dyed my hair black it would most likely go over well.

There was a fantastic discussion in my Composition lecture about the upcoming Les Miserables movie, and I was giddy to find out that Eddie Redmayne can definitely do Marius' signature songs justice. Learning they cast Aaron Tveit as Enjolras just seals the deal for me. I'll definitely be seeing it opening day, especially since they got actual Broadway vets to fill some roles.

Is anyone free to come with me to a pre-birthday celebration concert on the 27th? I've been gifted four tickets to the Jack White concert at Webster Hall, and it's going to be insanely good. VIP, and we might get to meet Jack himself, as well as Gary Oldman. Plus, free concert, so it's a win-win situation.
